Lived right down the street from this place for years, but didn't even notice it until a friend happened to be reading an article "100 best chefs in America" and it mentioned this Suriya and a dish called Evil Jungle Prince. Whodathunk that behind the drab exterior was one of the best Thai places I've ever been to? Adventurous cuisine. I've been to Thailand and been to the city of Chaig Mai, but I've never seen any dish like the Chang Mai noodle. But it's sooo good. Pumpkin curry, emerald noodle and the papaya salad are fantastic. Though I get a sense that they've been shirking a little on their portions as of late… but I don't go there quite as much anymore, so maybe I'm just imagining things…

We had a large group eating a late dinner. We were promptly seated and very professionally taken care of. I am thorougly impressed with the management at Suriya. The manager personally came to greet us and make sure everything was well. As you know Thai food is spicy, and we were glad to have our glasses filled with water constantly. Thank you so very much for the perfect way you ended our evening.
