As a former resident of Thailand and one constantly on the road, I'm always looking for good Thai food. Since moving to the city and trying 10 other SFO Thai establishments, it's safe to say Jitlada is the best by far. Not only is the food great, but the staff too, especially Khun Phai the chef. This is real Thai food!

The appetizers are actually some of my favorites bar none. The ginger spring rolls and stuffed basil eggplant are always on my must have list. These days I am partial to the banana leaf trout dinner. Thumbs up!
Pros: Charming size restaurant. Not too big or crowded. Not too small. Cozy fun!
Cons: Parking is street or Japan town mall.

I definitely will recommend Jitlada to anyone that wants to try unique Thai cuisine. It was one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever tried in the city. One of my favorite appetizer was the ginger shrimp spring rolls and the sleeping bag..yum! It is not those order me Pad Thai type of restaurants...it is a different atmosphere you can dine with your partner, friends or family. Chef Pai is the greatest and puts all her effort in all her dishes she presents out to each table.
Pros: Ginger Shrimp egg rolls & Sleeping Bag

Not only is the food great but alot of thought has been put into the presentation of the food and the service. Highly recommended.

Jitlada was delicious. My dad and I were house hunting in San Francisco, and since he had never really had Thai before we decided to give the place a try. The appetizers were delicious (soft-shell crab and "wrap me up" lettuce wraps), and my green curry was excellent. My dad had the Jitlada steak, which he was very impressed by. A fried banana with coconut ice cream was a great dessert . . . I'd recommend Jitlada to anyone because of the mixture of traditional Thai dishes and creative modern dishes.
Pros: Delicious food, creative options
Cons: Closed on Mondays

One of the best Thai places I have ever visited while roaming the world. You come once, you will be back again - trust me. Check it out yourself when you get about to it.

If this is the best Thai in San Francisco...that is very disappointing. The pad thai was probably the worst we've ever had. Tasted like box noodles with ragu pasta sauce. The ginger shrimp egg rolls were tasty, but didn't make up for a below average meal. Would not send anyone I liked to this restaurant.
Pros: ginger shrimp rolls
Cons: food, price
