Fringale is a french restaurant located close to the freeway. They have an attractive sign out front and inside, the place is dimly lit giving it a romantic feel. A full bar is available on one side of the room and the evening we were there, the place was crowded. Our waiter was nice and attentive to our needs despite this so we were very happy with the service. The food I ordered, roasted chicken, was delicious. Their prices though are a bit on the expensive side.

The service was friendly. We had a reservation for 6 on a Friday night and in despite of being late they held our table when we called to let them know. The food was outstanding and at reasonable prices. The neighborhood is a little rough, south of Market, but the ambience inside is great. The restaurant is not very big and not too small, nice lighting, a little bar to grab some wine if you need to wait for your table making it a cozy and romantic restaurant.

Great food, great service. It is in south Market. You might feel the neighborhood a little bit rough. The food is more of French country. The quality is consistant. There are so many restaurants in San Francisco we wanted to try, and we acturally visited this restaurant twice.
Pros: good food, good service, easy reservation

The new menu is fantastic! I highly recommend the fois gras appetizer and the duck for the main course. Everything that was ordered by all in my party was also wonderful, including the tuna and the risotto. For dessert, we enjoyed the creme brulee and the small white cake (forgot the name). Service was also very pleasant and presentation was great. Bravo!
Pros: food, casual ambiance

I just dined last night and only regret not trying this restaurant earlier: the food, price, convenience and service were all top notch!! The calamari and seafood stew were both extremely tasty - spicy and not overcooked at all. The desserts (chocolate flourless cake and hazelnut & almond mouse cake) were also exquisite. And the service was very attentive - all the waitstaff even helped me to try to locate a missing piece of jewelry (which I eventually found)! I will definitely be dining here again!
Pros: Good value, Easy parking, Excellent Food
Cons: Small dining area

This was my best overall dining experience since moving to the city 3 months ago. The food, service, and ambiance were all top shelf. They were able to accomodate a party of 12 and we all enjoyed our meals. The steak and fish dishes were great. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I will definitely go back again.
