I went there on Friday night with 3 friends around 8 p.m, it was slightly busy, but we were seated after a 5 minute wait. The atmosphere is very casual with a "helpful" and friendly feel (the server who waited on us seemed very happy to be there, not a typical San Francisco server attitude). Now the food, it was GOOD. The menu is where you pick your desired meat or fish with a sauce and you get to choose two side ingredients (that is the fun part because you can tag a bite from a friends plate). My friends and I ordered lots of different things and we had a blast trying the different things, I suggest the Snapper with the green beans and mashed potatoes. We then shared a pecan minature pie, it was to die for. For the tab... I felt it should have been more for the service and food I got. Downside, the bathrooms are kind of unusual. I will return soon
Pros: service... friendly, great tasty food, fun
Cons: no parking,

Ive enjoyed myself everytime Ive gone into Cozmos. The bartenders always remember me and what I like to drink, and there's always good looking women in there. Ever since Eric Hoppfinger became their new executive chef the food at Cozmos is fantastic. I especially like thier pan seared free range chicken breast. Soooo Good. It does get a little loud however, but I think that adds to the excitement of dining there. If your looking for intimacy there are better places, If your looking for a fun time and meeting fun people Cozmos does the trick.

I was nervous going into dinner after reading some of the reviews, however, some of these reviews were written several months ago when they had a different chef. We started with an amuse- bouche of green garlic soup that had hints of creamy vanilla ice cream. I ordered the mushroom soup that was a well portioned creamy river of intensely roasted wild mushrooms . We also ordered the crab cakes and tuna tartare cones as appetizers. Presentation was great and the flavors were fabulous - and I am pretty fussy about crabcakes. They had sweetbreads on the menu as well as a quail appetizer that I was unable to eat because it was Friday during lent which prevented me from eating meat (poor planning on my part.). For main course, we had the salmon which was cooked to perfection and the sea bass which had a mustard beurre blanc sauce that was so light and tasty it made me stop and think how I can replicate it at home. We ordered the cheese plate which was very good - all the cheese selections were listed in the menu so you know what you are getting before you order it. Other dessert seletions looked delicious - apple bread pudding, chocolate cake, creme brulee. We had Kay as our server who turned out to be very knowledgeable about the wine, the food, and the wine/food pairings. She said that all the wait staff have been there for 14 years so they do have a vested interest in the restaurant and are very knowledgeable. This appears to be a great find for us and we will definitely be back on out next visit to San Francisco.
Pros: Great food, excellent wine list, knowledgable staff
Cons: None

My girlfriends and I have made a pact that from now on, this restaurant is our new "girl's night out restaurant". It's the type of place with waitstaff who are so very accommodating to let us squeeze in 2 more people after some friends joined in the last minute (after I called one on her cell about the menu items).
We were delighted to have such a great restaurant in our neighborhood too since the restaurants in this area are a bit lacking, to say the least.
I'm definitely recommending Rose's Cafe to all my friends.
Pros: Example: best croissants in town
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

This spot has the best soul food in town and their brunch spread has grits to die for - love the music and staff - just don't go with a headache unless you plan to drink it away! Also, don't let the hood keep you away or you'll miss a real treat.
Pros: live jazz
Cons: very loud

I took my fiance to SFO for this vacation, booked a table over the phone.
Although I was told they couldn't garanty a window table, they managed to place us near the window.
The service was good, discreet and efficiant, I had an excellent fish and my fiancee rumsteak, which was really tasty and tender. Although it was a little pricy, I felt it was excellent value for money.
We definitaly will go back there next time we go to SFO.

The restaurant is a sleeper- they have an amazing patio in the back (perfect for parties on nice SF nights), the owner is the long haired good looking guy (usually behind the bar), and the music always rocks your world. The Steak Nibblers on the appetizer menu are amazing, a little salty but really good. The menu is impressive, wine list so so, but the service is great. I love this little swanky joint. One word of warning, if you sit out on the patio watch out for the little mousies. they love the place too... keep your feet up, purses off the floor and don't freak out if you see them scutter by. Otherwise, a super fabulous, very romantic place to be.
Pros: Great food, great music, nice patio
Cons: with nature come animals, wine list isn't the best, menu doesn't offer a whole lot

My first contact with Triptych was with David, the owner. I spoke with him a week before my get together & from our first conversation to the end of the actual dinner - my experience was positively great. He was extremely helpful & informative; he gave me the option of a set price menu ranging from $35 -$50 & catered to the price that I gave My group of 18 people got a DELICIOUS 5 course meal. We all got the soup du jour- hearty and VERY YUMMY, the sashimi - makes my mouth water as I remember how DELICIOUS the butterfish was, the crispy tofu salad was light & healthy & YUMMY! The main courses were EXCELLENT - from the meat/fish choice pork osso bucco, leg of lamb, pan-seared salmon to the vegetarian dish, quinoa & tofu... we all had the chance to taste them and that's when I started hearing how this was a place that they would COME BACK TO! Finally, dessert... 3 different type of creme brulees and a pyramid noisette - DELICIOUS!
The restaurant itself was very, very cool - the artwork , the decor really set the ambiance for a nice & relaxed place to have a group of friends get together; I would definitely go back here for a romantic date - it's not your typical snobby, snooty place where the price of the food definitely does not match up to the quality that you're paying for. The bathroom is pretty damn cool... love the 70's look - brought back some of my friends to their youths!
David & his staff were very kind, helpful, & really paid attention to my group. I was fortunate enough to meet David himself who was even nicer in person! I highly recommend this place & if you want to do a big group thing, this place is perfect! One friend said to me, "SF has great restaurants, after awhile, I found that I'm just not impressed, however, this one - I am and would definitely come back."
Pros: Everything! Even parking! You just have to get there before the night revelers come out on a weekend night!
