First, SFMOMA has a great location, close to Metron, shopping, food and bars. It's very easy to get taxi! I've been to this place several times. It's a great place to visit if you never been there. There's a store, cafe and a theater on the first floor. There is a gallery host exhibitions on the second floor. You should check out their website at www.sfmoma.org for events. Don't forget to take advantage on the free first-of-the-month Tuesday! Unfortunately, the museum closed every Wednesday.

I LOVE going to the opening and closing parties here, or whenever they do special events. They hire Djs and have drinks, and you get to dance and check out the Art in a funky niteclub scene. The fashionableness is over the top at these shindigs, but whereas that usually annoys me, here I can totally get into it. The overpriced clothes compliment the overvalued art perfectly. And I swear, my, uh, "shabby chic" thift fashion looks almost like designer clothes in the strobby light. One time they had a whole room of classic video game systems set up… not just Ataris, but all sorts of now-defunct consoles with bizarre interfaces that I'd never even heard of growing up. Tons of fun…

Located in the downtown area, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is one of the great features of San Francisco. Developed as a non profit, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is still quite trendy, and offers a monthly free admissions day so you can see for yourself. It seems to offer more then the Asian Art Museum, and seems to be more geared toward those in there early 20's. Parking is non existent, but it's just a couple blocks from a walk from Bart.

This is one of the nicer museums in San Francisco. It is very well organized so when you walk through, you do not feel like you are missing out on anything. And the artwork is absolutely beautiful. If you like modern arts and new and trendy ideas, then this is the place to visit. The only real downfall is that parking is very hard to find. But overall, and exceptional place to visit.

Beautiful Beautiful museum with alot of culture and history. This is a perfect place to take your childrn to learn about art. Everything is so organized and beautiful. the downfall here is that parking is horrible. It took me at least thirty minutes to find a spot. But it is well worth it at this museum.

The SF Museum of Modern Art is a neat place to visit. Although I am definitely not a student of modern art, the museum is organized and collected in such a way that a normal person can appreciate the exhibits on display. The museum is well-lighted and easy to navigate – good place to just check out.

SF Moma is one of the top museums in the country, if not the world, for good reason. They always have interesting and engaging exhibits. What I like most about the museum, however, is that it's very accessible. While there is plenty to see, you can pick and choose what to explore. The cafe is fine, albeit a bit pricey and don't forget to check out the great store.

The SFMOMA, or San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, has all kids of interesting, mostly weird (to me at least) paintings, photos, sculptures, even video-based art pieces. I went there a few years ago for my high school art class. All kinds of events take place here, like exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, etc. I personally don't have an eye for what's good art and what's not, but modern art is still visually stimulating nonetheless. My favorite exhibits are the Frank Lloyd Wright pieces, because I'm an architectural enthusiast.

I think modern art is a bit hit-or-miss, but San Francisco’s MOMA is definitely a home run. The museum showcases a wide range of artists, so hopefully you can find something that you enjoy. They also offer guided tours, so you can learn more about the artwork you like (or maybe change your mind about the ones you don’t).
