This bike rental store was great. I biked across the golden gat
bridge with the rented bike. What a fun and safe experience it
really was. I would defenitly go back there and do everything all
over again because all the workers there were so informative about
the whole trip.

High quality, passionate teachers; great student to teacher ration (6:1); involved parents; incredible sense of community; large, bright, open, well-kept classrooms; my son was there for 3 years and my daughter for 6 months?both loved every minute of it. Graduates get accepted to top private schools in San Francisco, and almost all the parents miss MCH and think the quality was better at MCH.

Dedicated, passionate teachers; impressive facility; kids are immersed in Mandarin; my son has finished Kindergarden and my daughter one year of pre-school. After 1 year, both understand a lot of Mandarin and can speak a little; both sing songs in Mandarin. They look forward to going to school, and they don?t want to leave at the end of the day (which I think is a good sign). Many prospective parents worry that they don?t speak Mandarin. Don?t worry; only 10% of students have a parent who speaks Mandarin. Many prospective parents worry about the difficulty of parking. Don?t worry. There?s plenty of parking. It has never taken me more than 2 or 3 minutes to find a parking spot close to the school.

Every now and then you'll hear someone crying because they don't want for Mom or Dad to leave them. These are preschoolers, it's expected. What I witnessed was singing, humming, laughing kids, playing together, discovering new foods, sharing stories, learning songs about practical subjects that will help then later on...month names, counting, what happens in nature to our compost, raising plants from seed, caring for each other. I'm very pleased. The parent community is wonderful and the director is working very hard to meet all the challenges we parents throw at her; because "our" children are special and we want the best for them. Talk with other parents. I think you will find our children are happy and love the community's environment.

I went to the Zeum with a couple of friends and it was great. You have to go see everything at this place. There are so many things that I have explored when I went to the Zeum. There was the production lab, a computer lab and a theater that offers live performances. The one I really liked the most was the theater because I love watching live shows and the shows are great too. This is a place thats generally for kids and its very kid friendly.

Yay for bowling. I'm terrible at it normally, but at the Yerba Buena bowling alley, I seemed to have gotten worse. The prices are reasonable -- $20 per hour or $3.50 per game most days. You also have to rent shoes. The place was pretty empty when I went, but it was a Sunday. Maybe they're busier on other days? The service is perfunctory and quick. There's a restaurant built in that serves hamburgers and hot dogs and the like. Conveniently located next to the Metreon and ice skating!

My little sister went to Happy Times Nursery School on Quintara that is attached to Christ Church Lutheran. It was only a half day everyday, but it was a bit pricy., considering is was not a full day of school. The students did have a lot of fun, but they did not learn some basic skills that a 4-5 year old should have: good manners. I was not thoroughly impressed. But sometimes, people have different perspectives

More
ACT's Young Conservatory theater is not a summer camp or an after-school program, it's an intense (but still fun) program for serious young actors. The classes are all taught by seasoned professionals who specialize in working with young people, and students learn serious acting methods and skills.
I took classes at ACT almost a decade ago, and the skills that I learned - even though I no longer do theater - serve me to this day. I got voice training, scene analysis, physical acting and clowning and more.
Whether your child (age 9-19) just wants to have fun in the world of theater or is exploring the idea of a career in acting (or scriptwriting), this is a professional, respectful program and the benefits will stay with them no matter what course they choose to follow.

More
Preschools are so hard to find nowadays with the long waiting lists not to mention raising concerns of society. The Ark Christian Preschool is a small privately owned preschool that provides personal attention to each of the children and has exceptional staff who take extremely good care of the kids. The teachers are not just doing their job, they truly and sincerely care for the kids. There is also a sister branch in the Richmond district called Star Light.
