When I visited this place, after I got my breath back from the climb, I could feel the history here. There is a real neat story behind this tower. I am not going to spoil it by telling you all about it. I want you to visit Coit Tower for yourself and discover it's uniqueness.
You really do get a fantastic view of the City.
When I took a look, I was amazed at the City's beauty and variety of areas in such a small piece of land.
The bay looks grandeur -- you haven't seen the bay until you have looked at from Coit Tower.
Make sure you go on a clear day.

I love this place for so many reasons. If you have a dog, I recommend you go here because your dog will love the atmosphere and the other dogs to play with. There are many pure bred dogs and they are all so beautiful in their own unique way. Many people take their dogs here for the comfort of the beach sounds and because the trails are a great way to excerise your dog. The sunsets are so beautiful. You may come here just to excercise yourself, for the trails are perfect for a nice jog. My sister's dog loves this place and the other dogs always meet a good friend while they are there. Go here for the sunset, the excerise, and to see the happiness your dog will have.

Located just below the Cliff House, the Sutro Baths are a neat place to visit. There is a path and staircase which leads down to the ruins, it’s a slight incline down, but remember as you walk down that you need to walk back up! The baths themselves are only ruins, but there are many inlets to explore as there are neat caves and eddies where the ocean runs in.

One of my favorite things about summer in SF are the free concerts on the beauteous Yerba Buena Gardens lawn. I just came back from the first concert of this summer series (Gamelan Sekar Jaya) and it was totally a summer-is-finally-here moment. The sun was out, the lawn was scattered with all sorts of interesting folks. They always have great sound for outdoor concerts. And the lineup this summer is amazing - all sorts of multicultural stuff that you might otherwise never see, but if it's free and the weather's nice, why not?

The park offers a great view of downtown San Francisco from the slope at the far side of the park. It has some sport facilities, but I really enjoyed the passive recreation of just relaxing and reading a book there or having a picnic with friends. The park has restrooms, which are of the quality of the average park restroom… filthy.

This kid friendly park is a great place to take babies, toddlers, and young kids. You can reserve it for birthday parties which is great. There are bathrooms, a water fountain, and picnic tables which are convenient. They have a playground with slides and swings. There are several tennis courts right next to the park.

More
This concrete plaza outside of Embarcadero Center and just across the street from the renovated ferry building is a skateboarders dream. The plaza is lined with restaurants to support the nearby office buildings. The fountain is either brilliant or ugly depending on your opinion. It fit in much better when the freeway used to run directly behind it but since the 1989 earthquake the fountain is very much out of place and an ugly reminder of the past.

More
Just blocks from SBC Park, South Park is a hidden hideaway for the numerous businesses located around. With a few restaurants on its perimeter, you can always find workers eating their lunches on the picnic tables. Children entertain themselves on a small playground or on the swings. Definitely worth it if you work in the area, otherwise it might not be worth the trip.
