I have been in S.F. for over 10 years now and I must say that the Solar Planet is the little Sun sanctuary that gets me out of the funk during those grey foggy Bay Area days. I also enjoy to tan a few sessions before I go vacation in a sunny place and that's all it takes to get my pale skin looking human again?a few sessions in one of those high performance beds. During my last recent experience, I was having a particularly challenging week and by Friday I felt the need for a boost. After my tan and on my way out, the friendly gals up front: Kim and Helena noticed that I was in dire need of some TLC and encouraged me to get a massage. Not a few minutes went by and I was in the cozy massage room enjoying the energizing hands of one of their newest massage therapist additions, Shirley. An hour later I was a new man. I highly recommend this place as it's always a great experience.

I have been a client of Solar Planet's for almost 3 years. I have NEVER had a better massage therapist than Craig at Solar Planet! He is extremely caring,strong, does a consultation with you before he begins the massage(to focus on the areas that need special attention) and inquires as to what kind of massage(he is an expert at many different techniques!) you would like, and inquires to the pressure(whether the pressure is too hard or too soft) If you want to come away feeling relaxed(and slightly comatose!.....in a good way!) then schedule a one hour or even one and a half hour massage(go on! treat yourself!) you will thank me for the referral! and be eternally grateful to Craig for his service! As far as the tanning goes, Solar planet (as it is mentioned in other customers revues) offers some of the finest tanning bed equipment!(from Germany) which unlike their American counterparts, do not transmit the harmful UV rays as some I have experienced at other places. Solar planet also has a spray on tanning machine, that is a nice alternative to the tanning beds. My partner also sees Craig for his massage as well(he does not make use of the tanning....yet!) and each visit to Solar planet is a delight! To summarize: Best tanning beds in S.F. Best Massage therapist(Craig) in the Bay area, and nice envoirnement and friendly helpful staff! Pros: Nice envoirnement, friendly staff, Craig best massage guy in S.F! Cons: Can't really think of any! (really!)

I have traveled as a business consultant all over the US for 20 eyars, I have tanned and had massages, and Solar Planet has got to be right up there in Heaven. It is like going to a private club. The service and the knowledge of the staff, and their presentation are superb. The equipment, I heard are $30,000+ each, are out of a movie and the results are fabulous. I am so pleased I drive 30 minutes to tan and massage. Pros: Tanning beds, Massage, service/clean

Solar Planet has amazing tanning beds. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it. They give you awesome color. They also require less visits than most tanning beds, so it actually comes out the same as tanning in a cheaper bed, except for the awesome, natural color you get. They have great, and very well trained employees to help you. Just make sure to go when the young man is there; he is very helpful......and handsome !! Pros: No Appointment Needed, Not much wait to tan Cons: Hard to find parking

I am a client at Solar Planet also and absolutely love it. I have been a client for several years, so know their policies well, maybe I can give you some pointers. The prices do start high for a package, but the color that you get is amazing! It's definitely worth it. Their beds also have the lowest amount of UVB and are the fastest I've ever heard of, so they're better for your skin too. The packages do expire one year after purchase, but I know they will extend your package and work with you. In my experience, their service has always been exceptional. Pros: great results., great customer servic, very clean Cons: a little pricey
