I turned 21 not long ago and didn't have a party or did nothing to celebrate it, instead I waited 2 months to go to San Francisco >I'm from Seattle, WA< let myself loose and make up for that time... well that went down the tube... I was staying at the King George Hotel, called a cab to take me there and as soon as we pulled up the the place we noticed that there was nobody there no signs no nothing >10.00pm< ... I went back to my hotel extremely angry and looked for another place, I ended up going to badlands, had a blast there... but I read so much about the endup that I thought I could not miss it, got on a cab at 2 in the morning... arrived, had to pay 20 bucks to get in... ridiculous right ? .... anyways I got in and walked around a bit to see how the layout was... the dance floor was kinda smalll but didnt mind much about it... there is this area next to the bar that I didn't get... is that some kind of VIP area or what was it ??? then there was a weird sitting place on the back of that and the patio... didnt care for that either.... but what REALLY puzzled me was that I saw many straight asian couples, older ones.........!!! the music was good, but the vibe was just not there, the whole place feels old and dirty unlike badlands where everything seems to be squeaky clean and new.... i felt a couple times like approaching ppl but then a girl woulld come to the guy and start... doing their thing........ soooo i left within an hour and a half.... I know it sounds like a long time but I wanted to see if something good would happen, it didnt.... went back to my hotel super disappointed.... next day I obviously went back...... to BADLANDS that is !!! I'm planning to go back during the pride parade time and I'm kinda of thankful that I "visited" this place so that I know where to go and not to recommend it to anyone... GO TO BADLANDS PPL !!!!
Pros: Music ?
Cons: Waste of space... too many straight ppl ?

Since the recent remodel, this place now has a warm feel to it. Every night has a different theme and crowd.
It is even open on weekend mornings and all weekend long....non stop.

The EndUp is one of those clubs I had heard about for years before ever stepping foot in. Once I moved to a house a couple blocks away, I knew it wouldn't be long before I experienced the infamous club for myself. What I discovered was a place that soon became my new favorite late night/weekend morning dancing venue--The patio with it's waterfall and fountain, the chill space with it's comfy fur covered couch and warm fireplace. Yes, the people hurling in the garbage can, the long lines for the bathroom with people passed out in the stalls, the aggressive, bug-eyed, sweaty men and the stiletto-heeled women trying to swim in the fountain and hanging their breasts over the balcony certainly made it clear how it had earned it's less-than-pure reputation, but it was actually cool, and I developed a quick affinity for it-- especially when it plays host to some of my favorite parties. However, my experience this last Saturday/Sunday has now made me wonder if the EndUp has finally become just another big money club with a lot of attitude and no soul. The patio was still there, but the comfy, fur covered seating? Gone. In it's place was a sea of ugly, Camel Cigarette brand tables. In fact, the Camel brand was appallingly everywhere, and only showed that the owners have given up style and class for free gear from cigarette companies. New furniture aside, the most disappointing moment came when we left and tried to return 2 hours later in the morning, to find that although the party we had come to support was going on until noon, the folks at the door would be charging us a brand new $20 entrance fee. They insisted it was a "different" party, and our stamps had expired at 7am, even though we'd only come back for the end. The nasty woman at the ticket window screeched at us, "we have to make money too!" as though we were vermin trying to rip them off despite having spent buckets at the bar all night long. A neighbor and a patron, the EndUp has lost me as a fan.
Cons: Tricky, unfair entrance fees

Lets be honest everyone is high at the endup. You go there to do that sort of thing. The club itself is kind of dingy and gross, but when your high, you don't care. The music is good, you can always find a dance partner, even at 8 a.m. on Sat. morning. IMO Sun. mornings are the best time to go. Lots of hot girls and guys are there for the taking. All in all you will either love the endup or hate it. And always remember: everyone ends up at the endup.
Pros: always find parking, open all the time on weekends, better than average looking crowd, eveyone is very easy to talk to and friendly
Cons: bouncers pat you down like crazy, get caught with anything illegal bouncers not very nice at all

Awesome dance scene, fantastic beats and well worth the cover to get in. A great see and be seen with an awesome patio area to help you refresh and rehydrate.

Going to the End Up is like getting together with family (the ones that you look forward to seeing) My partner Bob and I have been "hanging out" at the End Up for many years and although we have recently relocated to Arizona, the End Up will always be the place we feel welcome and loved. If you have never been there, you are missing a chance to experience what San Francisco is all about. It's about being yourself, not being judged by your lifestyle, your skin color, your status or beliefs, but being welcomed as an individual who like everyone else is experiencing the same sense of freedom, acceptance, and bonding through the beat of the music
Pros: Atmosphere, music, great staff
Cons: Sushi

this was the first club I went to when i first moved to San Francisco...and when i come to the city (4 times a year)...I go to the End Up. the party recently got ferocious...I think it's the new ownership...brings back the old days...
Pros: music, atmosphere, people
Cons: I don't go for the drink...but it's there...most people drink water...that's how hot the party is...i guess that's a pro.
