This theatre adds a lot of character being located in the Clement street neighborhood. It specializes in new foreign movie releases. It is a great place to go especially on a Sunday afternoon where you just want to relax. They one show one movie at a time compared to other large cinemas. It is a well kept theatre.

You know, I want to support the local theatre as much as the next guy. And I love movies. But gosh, this place is just way too small. I felt like I was just sitting in my own basement watching a dvd or something. I don't need to pay a full theatre ticket price to do that. I know, I may get struck by lightning by dissing a neighborhood institution, but just telling it like it is.

A while ago, there was a campaign to save this little treasure trove in the city and it worked! That is good news for us folks who enjoy going to see independent or foreign films that aren't playing anywhere else. The building itself is an eclectic mosque-like, scrolled ceiling, petite theatre. It makes me feel like I'm seeing a movie when movies first came out-in a good way:) Check out their film festivals.
