Chipostle offers a number of food, however nothing really jumps out at you. Not that the food is bad, but just your ho hum Mexican entrée. Unless you eat around the Mission, there's really not a good place in the downtown for real Mexican food. There menu is a bit lacking, however they do give you whatever you like.

Chipolte does have good burritos and tacos. You get to choose what kind of filling you want - chicken, beef, pork, or veggies. I do not like the salsas offered. I prefer Baja Fresh any day over Chipolte just for the pico de gayo (sp?) I also like that I can get fajitas and nachos at Baja. If you want a Burrito, Chipolte isn't a bad place to go - better that Taco Hell- just not my first choice.

I've only been to their location on New Montgomery Street and I have to say that I was really disappointed in my meal. I ordered the chicken burrito and my chicken was so blackened and charred that my entire burrito had a horrible burnt aftertaste to it. I couldn't eat it so I told the guy what was wrong with it and he looked at me like I was crazy. He did exchange my burrito for a vegetarian one, which was filled with pilaf and beans but didn't have much taste.
I think I'll stick to my mission burritos, El Farolito in particular. No comparision.

Chipotle Mexican Grill has a collection of the best and meanest Burritos at meanest prices. The flavors are amazing and the place is almost always buzzing with activity. The people are nice and the cost is very low. I really recommend the chicken burritos here. You wont regret my advice. Remember that the place is generally buzzing with activity so dont expect Taco bell speed!!!
