Eric Trabert's jewelry is one of a kind. Gorgeous rings with detailing unmatched by other jewelers. He does not create the typical cookie cutter rings. My fiance purchased a ring from his shop for me and it is the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. Modern with an antique twist. I have received numerous comments that my ring is the prettiest engagement ring my friends have ever seen. My fiance and I have been customers of LL Brown @ Embarcadero Center for over 5 years now, and couldn't speak more highly of our experience there. He usually stops by just before major events like birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, etc. and comes out with something beautful that we both know I'll love and wear often, and for a long time. Over the years, we have come to know the owner, Ken Brown, who has been a huge help to us both on many occasions. Most recently, Ken Brown helped my fiance select an engagement ring that still leaves me speechless and that suits me perfectly, and he rushed (in one afternoon) the final order so that the ring could be ready for a very last minute trip to Mexico, where my fiance proposed; when we returned, he had the ring sized in less than 2 days. Most definitely recommend!!

Jahan has been my parent's family jeweler of choice for close to 15 years. Visiting his store as a teenager was always a fun experience as a "dreamed" of the day one of the diamond rings he would let me try on would be purchased for me. When my then-boyfriend and I went to visit his store in February looking for engagement rings, it had been at least 12 years since I had been to Jahan's. As an adult and without my parents, the experience was no different than I remembered. Jahan's professional, friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly, fair and honest business practice was still the same. I'm fairly knowledgeable about diamonds and extremely particular. I also like getting the best deal for my money...on everything. Like most men, my fianc? did not know the first thing about buying diamonds.
We went to a number of stores and did a lot of online research before I took him to Jahan's. I was hoping that Jahan's wholesale prices and quality would still beat anyone out there. He did not let us down and my fianc? was immediately able to see the vast difference between the other locations we had visited. We also learned that his diamonds are "conflict free," which was important to us.
After trying on several settings and showing Jahan pictures of things I liked, he told me "not to worry" and that whatever I liked could be duplicated or created without a problem. Other stores either were not willing to "create" what I wanted, or they wanted rights to our firstborn to do so. Their prices were outrageous! Also, they simply do not carry the quality of stones or variety of up-to-date settings that Jahan does.
My fianc? waited several months to propose and I had no idea what he had selected or when he'd made the purchase. He ended up modifying a setting Jahan already had that I had fallen in love with in the store. Note: I had hardly seen any settings I liked at other stores and Jahan had many settings I liked. I absolutely LOVE my GIA certified 1+ carat asscher cut diamond. It's surrounded by a vintage-looking square setting and set in a white-gold and palladium mix (so the metal is still durable, but won't yellow like white gold does) with baguettes down the sides and milgrain to give it that extra vintage flair. It's spectacular and I can firmly attest that I will never want to upgrade! Jahan even made the matching wedding band at the same time. I've uploaded a photo of the engagement ring. The band has been hidden away until the wedding.
I cannot advise you more to stay away from retail stores. The quality, price and level of professionalism just doesn't compare to Jahan's. I wholeheartedly recommend him to you. I get compliments on my ring almost daily, women saying "I've never seen anything like that and I just love it" or "Is that a family heirloom?" I'm constantly asked where my ring was purchased. Since my engagement, I have recommended Jahan's to several co-workers, a close friend and even a waiter at our restaurant just the other day.

I just want to reiterate how wonderful this store is. Once again, they removed a couple of links from my watch bracelet for free. I brought in a watch, they took it in the back room for adjustment and thanked me for coming in. What a store!
I can't believe it. Just the other day I had to pay 75 cents for air at a gas station, and I had to do all the work myself.
I've never bought anything at Shreve & Co., but I have them service all my watches. You will never, and I mean never, find more professional or more attentive customer service. If you can afford it, do yourself a favor and shop at Shreve & Co.
