I was recommended this restaurant by my plumber and he was dead on! The waitstaff were very gracious, and on the ball, considering the night my friends and I visited, the restaurant was completely packed.
The food was absolutely upto par with all the major five star restaurants in the city and we were all very pleased when the bill arrived, because I think we tried about two of everything so we could all share.
Great find!

My family and I have gone here for years and consistently love the food, the unpretentious atmosphere and friendly staff. When we're on Potrero Hill or downtown and heading south on 280, Moshi Moshi is always on our list.
Of the 100+ meals I've had here, only a few have been under par. The sushi is consistently fresh with a good variety and reasonable price. My kids eat sushi because of Moshi Moshi, (but they also love the Tempura and lightly battered chicken).
It's the perfect mix of good sushi and good saki in a nice environment. It's not high end, and that's why I rate it at a full 5 stars.

More
Everytime I go to a new sushi restaurant, I can't help but feel a little bad about spending so much on sushi I could've gotten here at Kiki's for less the price. Sure, you can walk into (almost) any Japanese restaurant and order chicken teriyaki or a California roll, but come to kiki's and you can order a plate of edamame and a san francisco roll (salmon salad & avocado) all for the same price as ONE roll at the restaurant next door. Attentive wait staff, friendly bussers, and quick kitchen call for a perfect sushi night with your significant other or a group of friends.
Pros: Cheap rolls, fast service, won't go home hungry
Cons: Parking

love this place!!! great food - including fresh sushi (best on tuesdays) and izakaya (japanese pub) dishes, fun ambience, attentive and friendly staff, easy parking, the list goes on and on... you can even buy a big bottle of sake, and if you can't finish it, you can write your name on a tag, and it'll be there for you the next time you go in! it's fun watching Oyaji (the owner and head sushi chef) accept glasses of sake from the patrons. before you know it, he'll be out from behind the sushi counter, mingling with and chatting up the guests. such a down-to-earth, friendly place to eat and drink. and you can just hang out there for hours, relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere and good food.
Pros: fresh sushi, great food and food selection, upbeat atmosphere
Cons: nothing, unless you think getting out to clement is far

My son and I stumbled upon this place as it was near our hotel. We both love sushi, and agreed the food was delicious and so fresh. Sorry to disagree with previous reviewer, but our California roll was great, as was the eel and tuna. We too were surprised at the $1.50 charge for green tea, but, hey, it's San Francisco, and everything is pricey. Owner was nice and friendly, and we'll definitely be back on our next trip.
Pros: Delicious Japanese cuisine
Cons: somewhat dated interior

Don't get this Osaka Sushi confused with the one on Filmore Street. This one has more innovative rolls and a menu limited mostly to sushi and some bento boxes. The quallity of the fish is constistenty very good. I've eaten here many, many times (15+) and with one or two minor exceptions been very pleased. The quality of the rolls is well above the average sushi spot in San Francisco. The price also is a little above average, but by no means outrageous. It's very popular and a well liked place in the Castro.
Pros: high quality fish, innovative rolls, cute wait staff
Cons: Castro can get busy

Amazing, fantastic, fabulous....the food and the decor are great, Eddy and Yukio are fantastic, they really know their fish. It is always very fresh and melts in your mouth. Presentation is impeccable. I agree with the other reviews, service is not always what it should be, try the bar but do not let that stop you from eating there. The staff is always friendly just a lack of attention to details. I love Kiji, one of my favorite restaurant in town!
Pros: Food quality, chefs and decor

We visit the restaurant an average of twice per month and thoroughly enjoy each visit. The lunch special for $6.95 is a real value. We usually select the White Tuna Sashimi. Dinner at $18 (including dessert) is well worth the money for authentic Japanese Cuisine. Every dish we have tried has been delicious. My wife is Japanese--I am not--and this is our favorite place to dine in the City. The service is very prompt and courteous. Cleanliness is very important to us and the place is kept immaculate. Take the kids to McDonald's and bring your significant other here for a great date. No, we are not related to the owner; we just want to see a great restaurant fairly rated.
Pros: Great food at reasonable prices, Authentic Japanese Cuisine
Cons: Best suited for parties of 6 or less

I live in North Beach and I come here probably three times a week. Food is good - it's great for vegetarians, they have a veggie sushi plate which you will never find anywhere else. Reasonably priced for mid-sized portions. Excellent service - Katsu, the owner of the restaurant, always greets and talks to his customers. I like the atmosphere a lot, it's never noisy. And it's never super busy, but if you're going with a large group, you should make a reservation. Taking everything into account - HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!
Pros: Food, fast service
