I noticed this restaurant when I was walking down the street on O'ffarrell. It is a very nice restaurant with a very calming atmosphere. I actually ate here for lunch and dinner. During night time the waitresses wear traditional kimono, very interesting. The food is GREAT. You can actually taste the difference and freshness compared to all the other commercial japanese restaurants like kitaro. It's not cheap but definatley worth the price. It's a very traditional restaurant and an unique dining experience. Can't forget the sake, they are a must! I will be going back there again. Pros: friendly staff, very clean, not noisy Cons: parking

My girlfriends and I found this place through the entertainment guide. Parking was a problem, but the dining experience was worth it. Its actually located inside SF Hilton so parking is available if you don't mind paying. The Beef Sukiyaki and Hamachi Tariyaki was the best. The Beef Sukiyaki was exceptionally good because the waitress cooks the stew in front of you! Pros: Pleasant environment Cons: Parking
