Everything tastes so good here. The deli sandwiches are made to your liking and are simply amazing. Wonderful selection of foods, very Italian. My eyes are definately bigger than my stomach when I go here. Grab a baguette, a hunk of cheese, proscuitto/salami, a variety of olives and some wine, then head to the park for a fabulous lunch.
Pros: food, price, locations everywhere

Took a while to get reservations. After eating there, no wonder! Arrived early and sat at the bar. We are really picky on our wines and the bartender had great suggestions which we ended up with for dinner. Staff was excellent, friendly, very helpful. We had the Tuna Conserva Panzanella for starters (WOW), the Salsiccia Pizza, the Pasta Special with spring peas inside (very light)and a Chocolate Budino Tart recommended by our waitress (very light). Served as 3 courses shared by the two of us. Everything was amazing! When we got the bill, we could not believe how inexpensive for such great wine and food. Would definitely go back ...
Pros: Excellent food, excellent service
Cons: Never an open seat (except early at the bar)

When I first walked into the restaurant, I wasn't very impressed with the decor, but after I had their tasting menu with wine pairing, I thought the food, wine and service was amazing. This is not a hip place to meet people, but if you like to enjoy food and wine, and have a nice dinner, this is definitely the place.
Pros: food, wine, service
Cons: decor

Very nice waiters and waitresses, the atmosphere is fantastic and low key, the food is moderately priced and delicious.
We have visited this restaurant several times, it has a comfortable feeling to it, and the owner is very personable and makes each person have a special dining experience.
The tables are elegant and each lady gets a rose when served.

I put this review on YELP! So I figured I put it on Citysearch too.
I have been going to Americano for over a year now on a regular basis. Usually with people from my office. I have to say I have had a lot of bad service. I understand it is because it is so busy all the time. I finally decided to write a review, not about bad service about good service. Everytime we get Hillary, as our waitress we are so well taken care of. Even if she can't get to us right away she lets us know she will be with us as soon as she can. I just wanted to say it is a nice change to being ignored or shunned by the rest of the service staff.
So, thank you Hillary!
If you go to Americano, try and find Hillary........you won't be dissapointed.
Pros: Hillary
Cons: Pricey

More
Calling Amici's an "East Coast Pizzeria" is a complete misnomer, as there are two styles of pizza typically found on the East Coast. First off, you have New York pizza, typified by a thin crust that is foldable which is topped with a rich combination of tomato sauce and cheese. This can be found at Arinell, not Amici's. Amici's is trying to replicate, with some success, the pizza from New Haven, Connecticut.
When it comes to New Haven style pizza, there are some significant characteristics: the crust should be very thin, seasoned with olive oil and salt and should never get floppy. This base can be covered with chopped clams, olive oil and grated cheese or it can be covered with a little red sauce, mozzarella and some toppings. Not a mountain of toppings, but some sausage, pepperoni, peppers, onions, anchovies and other bits to enhance the flavor of the pizza. Shape isn't as important, nor is cutting it into symmetrical wedges... but color is, as the bottom should have areas of jet black char from the heat of the wood or coal fired brick oven, and the top of the pizza should blister from the heat anywhere where it is not covered with cheese. Is your mouth watering yet?
Amici's tries to replicate this, and in some ways they have: the cheese mix is pretty dead on, and the crust exhibits the sort of charring and blistering you would expect, though it isn't oiled and salted first, which makes it lose out a little on the flavor. For the past few months, I usually have Amici's delivered three times a month - and the pies are consistantly good, but nowhere as good as when you get it served hot at the restaurant.
Points off for their prices, the occasional delivery issue (getting a pie with the cheese all slid over to one side), and the piece of metal my wife unfortunately found in her chicken pesto pasta one time.

A favorite restaurant for over three years. The couple that owns it has a habit of chatting with clients, and it adds that charming "my restaurant" feeling. Food is always fantastic, and prices are perfect to encourage lots of repeat business.
Best kept secret in the Marina. If you haven't been - GO - you'll be back again and again.
Atmosphere is understated elegance, allows for nice casual dining.
Pros: Great Food, Great Prices, Feels like family

Four of us who enjoy going out to dinner regularly decided to visit Antica. We made a late reservation and decided to show up early in case something became available. People were extremely nice, hostess, waiter, and everyone just really know how you you feel at home. We we all just blown away with everything we ordered. EVERYthing we had was absolutley amazing and since I found this place I am a genuine HERO to my wife and her friends. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Pros: A wonderful little place!
Cons: Parking can be tough, so valet.
