Marco Polo has a nice selection of gelato on hand. They have all the normal Italian flavors you find elsewhere, but also some asian ones too! They have lychee, mango, taro, red bean, guava, durian, soursop, etc. It's definitely gelato-style ice cream, which is creamier and less airy than the regular stuff at Mitchells or Polly Ann's. THe only thing I don't like it's a little pricey for a small scoop of ice cream, even when compared to other gelato shops.

my sister raves about this place so after dinner in the neighborhood, we decided to walk over for dessert. yummy...ice cream. they have a few exotic flavors if you are looking for something different. the place itself is not that big but with a few tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the ice cream if you were so inclined. we took ours to go and enjoy.

Their ice cream tastes really good. However, the price to pay is really high for just ice cream. One little pint of ice cream there is like a gallon somewhere else. They are pretty small and never have a line for good reason. It's a good place to go if you are really craving the taste of good ice cream. Other than that, stick with store bought ice cream boxes.

A great after dinner treat. Marco Polo serves one of the most yummy gelatos arround. It's has a small sit down area of about 8 small tables but looks like most of the patrons take their gelato on the run. They offer a wide variety of flavors including, soursop, lychee, black sesame, mango. they also offer samples in case you'd like to try but not go for the whole scoop. You can also get 2 varieties in your 1 scoop cup. It's a mom and pop place so just one worker, if it's a hot day there'll be a bit of a wait but it's well worth it. Parking is a bit iffy so you'll have to circle around the block or park on the side streats. They also offer hand packed gelato to go for larger sizes. Family and kid friendly, service with a smile. If you're in the area I'd highly receommend you check it out!
