In the age of big box "home improvement" centers, its nice to go to a small, local establishment. It's a little cramped inside, but they have all the basics. More importantly, they have a staff that is ready and willing to help. They'll point you to the right aisle, not to mention offer advise on your project if need be. In fact, I no longer live in the neighborhood, but went out of my way to go to this store, because I wanted to make sure I was getting the right product (thanks to the helpful staff).

This is my neighborhood hardware store, and it's a pivotal part of the community. They have absolutely everything there, and it's wonderful to know that you're supporting a local merchant as opposed to a corporate big-box store. They have a frequent shoppers program and I always get back a few dollars at the end of the year.

Cole Hardware is family-owned hardware store and is a wonderful place to find everything. I like this place a lot. Everytime I need a fixer-upper I go to this store because its pretty close to where I live. Their prices are two thumbs up and they have very nice employees working there. They will do everything possible to help you find what you want or need to build.
