This place was a fun find as I was on my way to GoodVibes. I decided to shoot up 17th (to avoid the sketch on 18th) and lo and behold I happen upon Aldea.
I smelled the place first, and later realized they have about 50 candles making the place smell lovely. I wasn't really in the market for anything, but the staff was attentive and friendly. I ended up buying a hot leather cuff (purfect for pride) and a mirror so I could look at my fine self. I saw they have a large baby section, which is good considering all the little tots out there that need fierce accesorizing. I did like the dishware and bedding, really quirky and modern. Discovered a huge card section. I will have to come back for the you are a *&^king lunatic card. It's about time someone sells cards that are a little more colorful. I've got a few friends who could benefit from them.
Anyway, after a few minutes, I was back on my way to GoodVibes. I recommend this place for gift giving, and self indulging. Did I mention I love that mirror.
Pros: You can buy enough candles to remake Madonna's Like a Prayer Video.
Cons: If you buy that many candles and light them all you could burn your place down:(

I'm sure Anna's Linens, within itself, is a decent place to shop for linens and other products of the like, but not this store, (which seems to be the only one in the City). To begin with, it's placed in an inconvienant location with no avaliable parking anywhere near by. It's sloopy and disorganized, and more often then not, items are found on the floor, completly ignored by any visable signs of "staff" to move in and clean up the mess! I really feel that Macys, Ross, or any other store of this type, would be a far better place to shop for those interested in linens, etc. We also have a Stonestown Mall, which offers many convienences and is more then well equiped to handle parking, as well as a direct line on the "Muni"(our bus system).

This place makes me feel like i'm at home. The overall rustic-romantic-feminine feel really draws me in. I could seriously live in this place because they have running water, beds, furniture, tables, light fixtures, kitchen-ware, awesome clothing, lingerie, jewelry, beauty products...anything a girl ever wanted is there.
Pros: warm atmosphere, fun, relaxed
Cons: "pricey"

Store owner John Giacomazzi is as lovely and interesting as his carefully selected objects and furniture from Belgium, Italy and Paris. Opened only in December 2005, it is fast becoming the go-to spot for the right gift or just a little visual and aesthetic push. Love the Jackson Square area. Parking is easy with an hourly lot right behind the building (or valet park next door at Scott Howard). Scott Howard and Myth Restaurants are nearby for after shopping lunch or more langourous dinner.
