The MCCFLA is the best place in town to learn all kinds of dance, music and crafts. they offer classes in Afro brazilian and afro peruvian dances, capoeira, dance azteca, salsa, flamenco, argentinean tango, ballet and hip hop. THey have music class, I especially like the brazilian percussion where you come with your instruments and jam with other people. You can also come on Saturday during the Brazilian Carnaval Dance class and play for the class while other students learn how to dance. They also have silkscreen textile and paper workshops as well as photography class. The price per class is between 8 and 12 dollars and you can get discount coupons. They also have funn events, exhibition and a film festival. The staff is very friendly.

The Mission Cultural Center has a variety of programs available to the public and also showcases exhibits and shows from time to time. One of the programs available to the community is for young writers, children from 7 up who can explore their creative writing skills. Dance classes are also offered, plus a myraid of other arts programs. Go check it out, and support your local arts organization. Very affordable, too.
