Although the curriculum at Lowell may be stressful, this school definitely prepared me for college. Not only did it prepare me for college courses but it also made me aware of the world's competitive reality. Comparing those, who graduated from Lowell and those who did not, Lowell did a fantastic job in accelerating our mentality and its application to the real world. If Lowell was to descend to the level of San Francisco's regular public schools, we would lose an great institution and many future leaders. Many successful and prominent figures of today, graduated from Lowell High School. No one individual but many.

My cousin attended George Washington High School and is always taking about how wonderful it is to attend school here. He always seems to have a lot of homework and is working on some kind of project or some event. we always go to the sports games too. I noticed that most students have a lot of school spirit. It looks like a wonderful environment for learning.

My two cousins attend Hoover Middle school. One is in the seventh grade and the other is in the eighth grade. The school is pretty good. They do learn basic concepts in all the subjects. The school is pretty clean and offers a safe environment. They prepare you well for the coming years of high school.

My friends attended Wallenberg Alternative High School on Vega Street and, form what I saw and heard, the school is absolutely great! It offers education as good as a private school education. Students there are above everage so the competetion is fears.
I would choose this school if I had to do it all over again. Unfortunately, I can't - I went to Washington High - ouch!!!

Abraham Lincoln High School is fast becoming one of the better public schools in San francisco. You now have to apply to the school and be invited to attended. Before, if you just lived in the district, you were automatically accepted. Now its very different which makes the education alot better. Its great to see a public school get better and more selective in its students

A truly great school. Very strong, caring experienced teachers. Low teacher turnover. Lots of classroom support from student teachers and volunteers, resulting in a low student/teacher ratio. Warm and welcoming - the principal knows the name of every child. Good academic curriculum, focus on arts and sciences. A small, integrated, fun school in a lovely Cole Valley, with a park and playground across the streeet. Much better than the local private schools.
