He has a talented assistant who is continuing in his tradition and high standards. An added bonus is his delightful and lovely wife who is a trained optician.

After trying several optometrists in San Francisco, I came to the conclusion that unlike the doctors I have met, optometrists in general are not as nice. And then, through a recommendation from a relative, I found Geri Cheng, O.D. of Custom Eyes Optometry. Dr. Cheng is genuine in all that she does, and she is very nice, experienced, and professional but also very relaxed. Every single visit to her office has been fun, even though that usually isn't an adjective to describe optometrists. While Dr. Cheng checks my eyes and such, she asks me questions about how I am doing and we talk as if we were friends. And apparently, as I found out from others who are her patients, she talks to all of them the same way, no matter what their age or ethnicity is. I have a friend who is an optometrist, and I am having a hard time trying to decide which optometrist I should go to; one that's owned by a good friend or one that is owned by such a great person, Dr. Cheng. That's how good of an optometrist and person Dr. Geri Cheng is.

I have visited Biotherapy Clinic many times. This place is wonderful!!! They are all very caring and professional people. They may not be speaking the perfect English, but when it comes to the language of cleansing...they are excellent!! :) When I first came to them, I was 30 lb overweight, tired, depressed and on the verge of developing diabetes. The wonderful people of Biotherapy Clinic have changed my life. Not only they helped me detox my body, but they also taught me how to eat and how to be healthy. I have referred everyone I know to them. I have not heard anything but heartwarming praises from everyone. (Even my mother-in-law...that should tell you something) :) And people are not only raving about their colonics.... the provide free consultations for everyone. Go find any practitioner in this town who would talk to you about your diet for 30 minutes without trying to sell you something. Did I mention that it was free???
Pros: free consultations, great prices
Cons: appointments are hard to get

a big thanks to there very helpful staff.
Pros: lots of glasses to pick from
Cons: most are brand name galsses . i need to see more around 80.00-100.00 dollars

I have been to Dr. Fu three times in the last 2 years and have found him to be the best dentist I have gone to. He has a way of explaining what he is doing in clear understandable terms. He is an artist with teeth. The tooth he built up for me is perfect and you can not even tell it is a build up. And he is painless and thourough. A very bright doctor. I recommend him to all my friends and family.

Our little guy had been plagued with serious ear infections and hearing loss, and had been through several different consults. Dr. Bartlett was amazing in diagnosing what needed to be done (tubes in, adenoids out), didn't need to be done (tonsils out), and in performing the surgery. Can't recommend him highly enough, for wee ones or adults....and the manual typewriter in his waiting room is a real hit with the kids.

We stayed her for 2 nights this past summer. We have a family of 6, so it is important for us to find a suite style hotel that will sleep us all comfortably. After a lot of research, I came across this hotel. It is located on Nob Hill, and just a block away from the cable car line. The hotel itself is a renovated apartment building. Our suite was a corner suite with 1 bedrom, living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. The bedroom had 2 queen beds, and the living room had a pull out sofa. So, it slept us comfortably. The furnishings were nice and more luxurious than your average hotel, but the buiding was old. I didn't really mind that too much as long as it was clean. There was a musty smell in the room, but I think that was due to the fact that it was closed up with no ventilation. We opened the windows and that seemed to help. The front desk was extremely helpful in providing information on the cable cars and a nice pizza place that delivered. I would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for a "high end" hotel, than this one is probably not for you. But, it is much better than the Comfort Inn! :)

This review is being written after I have had to replace a pair of glasses I purchased here last October. My first experience last October was excellent. The selection at this store is amazing. The best selection I have found in SF since moving here over five years ago. What really impressed me is the customer service. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have VSP and this was the first optician where I didn't have to spend a lot of time on the insurance issue.
If we fast forward to the past several weeks, I must acknowledge that this has NOT been a good month when it came to customer service. However, the staff of City Optix--especially Aaron--were helpful when there was a quality snafu in getting my glasses to me. Aaron diffused my displeasure and was able to ensure I left a happy customer (who will be back in the future) without me having to respond to what would make me happy. (I hate it when I am asked what would make me a pleased customer.)
