This is an amazing bridge. We walked the bridge both ways and we were very pleasantly surprised at how fun it was. We were told by many peple to walk this bridge and I kept asking what's the big deal. It is amazing. The signs on the bridge asking you to call the crisis center if you were thinking about suicide were a little disturbing. The shop at the end of the bridge was the only stop we made to pick up all our souveniuers. They had everything bridge related. This place is perfect to pick up all the souvenirs you will need for visiting San Francisco. After visiting Golden Gate you get a true appreciation for the bridge and the surrounding park. The Golden Gate National Park Store is the one place you need to stop to pick up everything that is San Fran.

A tiny store in the Embarcadero Center Shopping center. There's the Parks Collector's Series travel books and maps. They have national park sweatshirts, posters, and other environmentally minded gifts. Because it's so small, there's only a limited amount of merchandise that can fit into the store. It might be a better place (you're more likely to find what you want) if it were a larger store and had more merchandise.
