My friend and I stumbled upon Breezy's one Monday night and were very pleased by the all night happy hour food and drink specials. $3 sangria, $3 beers, $5 cocktails, and $5 bar food. It wasn't crowded or busy so a nice place to have a conversation while enjoying good food and drink for a very reasonable price. Service was ok but you can't beat the Monday night price!
Pros: Monday Happy Hour

I was really excited to try this place and when I got there could not decide between several dishes since they all sounded so good. Well, sounding good and actually being good are two different things. We had a large group so along with several appetizers we had a variety of entrees between us. Other than the macaroni and cheese, everything else wasn't even just ok it was awful. The meat dishes (chicken, duck, lamb) were all dry and tasteless considering all the ingredients involved. The pasta entrees were bland and boring. Dessert was uneventful and coffee was bitter. Raspberry mojitos were good, the pomegranate martini, the raspberry sidecar and italian drop were bad. And don't even think about sending a drink back, the bartender will get snotty and still add it to your bill!
Pros: Cute place; seated promptly but there was only one other party there on a Saturday night.
Cons: Bad food, out of several items on the food and drink menu.

We went to Breezy's for lunch based on a friend's recommendation. We had Symphony tickets on Saturday early afternoon and wanted to get a bite bfore. The place was packed... young and old. We had the Ahi Tuna Sandwich and the Shortrib Sandwich. Both were very tasty so that we did not leave a bite... Really, really good! Only drawback was that it took a bit to get our check because it was so busy... We are shocked about the other two bad reviews as we had such a good time here. Whoever wrote it, should try it again.... We actually really liked it so much that we came back after the symphony (which was, of course, a real treat!) to have a drink. The pomegranate martini's were very dangerous! We got treated to some free dessert too.... very nice staff.
Pros: Food Ambience Drinks
Cons: Parking Busy Place

I usually am not moved to write a review of a dining experience, but in this case I feel compelled. Breezy's may very well be the worst overall meal I have in a restaurant. We had tapas and I found myself torn between which dishes I could have removed from my bill without seeming like I was trying to get a free meal. They were all really that bad. I guess I should have gotten a clue when we were the only table in there on Friday night at 8pm. Me and my girlfriend were just trying to enjoy our beers (the one thing we thought was safe) before leaving and we were treated to a dead fly in the bottom of her glass, what an appropriatte way to end the terrible dining experience.
Pros: Fast Service because its empty
Cons: Every item on the menu

If I didn't know better I would think that Tamalpais101 was at our table. We have season tickets to the opera and are familiar with the dinner rush that local restaurants experience. We had a made a reservation for 6:30 because we had tickets for 8pm. We were there promptly at 6:30 and after waiting while several staff members looked for a table we were told that there were no tables availabe and we could wait at the bar. We were finally seated 20 minutes later. After waiting for at least 5 minutes we had to get the attention of one of the waiters and ask a him to take our orders, which included wine. We told him we had tickets and needed to be out of there by 7:45. He told us the kitchen was busy, but never indicated that there would be a problem getting our food. After waiting at least another 5 minutes we had to get the attention of the first available waiter and ask him to check on our wine. He said the wine was waiting to be picked up, but didn't bring it back with him. It was several more minutes before he brought the wine. At that time we asked him to follow up with our order, letting him know that we were running out of time. He seemed to just disappear and never returned. We got the attention of our original waiter we asked him to bring whatever was ready and to cancell our entres. At 7:30 when the tapas were finally delivered we asked for our check and reminded the waiter to cancell the entres. Five minutes later, while we were gulping down what we could the entres were delivered. We managed to grab several bites as we ran out the door. What we tasted of the food was quite nice, but not good enough to risk another experience like this. We will definitely not be returning and this was absolutely the worst dining experience we have ever had!
Pros: NONE!
Cons: The worst service ever!

We had opera tickets this weekend and were really excited. We did read the reviews of this place and they varied... we just read the new postings. The place was packed on Saturday as all other restaurants were... it was a busy night in Hayes Valley. We did want to post a note because we had a really great experience in this place. Seated promptly at 6pm, service was really attentive though it seemed a little rushed but we did feel taken care of.... We were really hungry as we had a late brunch and no lunch. We shared some tapas and really enjoyed the mac and cheese, the ceasar salad in sort of a cheese basket, the crab cakes (wow, those were really yummi). We were hungry so it was easy to please us.. On to the entrees... we did have to wait for 40 minutes... though in good company it seemed a long wait. We did get a complimentary bottle of Stags Leap to make up for it... we loved that fact and the attentive service from the manager... and, we loved the entrees when we arrived: the rib eye, the duck and the paella. All of them were really excellent. We did make it out in time, barely. We will be back. Given this place is new, the food was excellent and the service was appreciated (especially the manager who really went out of his way to make us happy!). We really did love it...
Pros: Food, Ambiance, Attention
Cons: Long wait, parking

Worst dining experience in 10 years. Arrived at 555 pm Saturday night . Order taken at 605 pm. Adjacent table received same entree as we ordered at 640 pm. At 645 waiter apologized for delay in dinner, then disappeared completely. I requested a response at 710 as we had opera at 8 pm. No response. At 720 pm we gave up and left with no pre opera dinner. Totally incompetent wait staff with a tiny kitchen shared with the falafel stand next door. Absolutely not recommended for anyone at anytime for any reason.

My husband and I chanced upon this gem of a restaurant last night before a concert at Davies Symphony Hall. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and it had a wonderful ambiance. We were able to have a conversation without shouting over the noise. I had the chicken stuffed with cheese and vegetables, wrapped in pancetta and it was to die for. My husband had the Dore sole and loved it. We split the salad with blue cheese and pomegranate vinaigrette. I only wish I had room to try the rest of the food coming out of the kitchen! Everything looked and smelled wonderful. Did I mention the prices were reasonable? I will definitely be back. My husband and I are very picky and we both gave Breezy's two thumbs up! I ran out of thumbs or I'd give more.
Pros: Food, service
Cons: Parking

Try this gem in Hayes Valley - fantastic tapas by chef Rodney Boca... especillay love the duck with fue de brick, the crab cakes with caramelized pineapple and onion, the cheese basket salad and the petite short rib purses... WOW. All just simply excellent. The sauces are doing the trick on what is fresh and crisp tapas from the Mediterranean region of spain, italy and france. We are excited about the full bar also: try the pomegranate martini or the house made sangria. Excellent ambiance.
Pros: Taste, Presentation, Sauces, Freshness
Cons: no parking
