Finally got around to trying this restaurant, and I'm so happy I did. The french onion soup is delicous, as is the salmon. We also had one of the mussel dishes, which was also very good. They have several different mussel preparations, so you can always try something new. So happy it's right in the neighborhood too. Can't wait to go back! Pros: Food, Service, Parking Cons: None

We came as a party of 11 and started out with the most wonderful salads: mustard dressing, side of goat cheese and a fried egg on top! Nice classic French combination executed in a well-balanced way. I got the duck shepherd's pie-like thing, which was perfect. A hint of orange, the duck was tender yet crispy like peking, the mashed potatoes on top were delightfully flavored with gruyere. It was strangely light considering the richness of the elements. The waitress was friendly, yet business-oriented. She didn't waste time with obsequious conversation, yet she was helpful and playful in discussion of the menu and when ordering. Overall a very pleasant experience. Because of the prices and the overall quality of the food and service, I could see this becoming a comfortable, regular place for me. Pros: Food, comfortable atmosphere, price, night parking

Everything I've had here has been fantastic. Yesterday I had the best chicken caesar I've had anywhere in town. Delicious pastas, chicken, sandwiches, ahi tuna. Nice range of fresh tasty salads. Haven't tried the crepes yet but they look delicious. Kller fries. And the warmest, cutest waiters in town. This little gem of a restaurant off the beaten path has quickly attracted a following of loyal customers for good reasons, not the least of which is deliciously simple, healthy, and well-presented food. The menu has a nice range of items - from the a chicken sandwich or crepe in around $10-12, to salmon or more sophisticated entres in the $15 - 20 range...they do great breakfast, and of course, they're licensed. In addition to the food, I frequent this cafe for the great staff (they'll get to know you by name if you introduce yourself), the cozy decor and atmosphere, and abundant seating on the patio - there aren't many of these around where you can enjoy sunny Portrero on a reasonably clean quiet street (DeHaro). They've also got a terrific flat panel TV for those once a year sporting events like World Cup Soccer (and thoughtful, fun content when it's not sports, usually with the sound turned down). Parking is usually abundant, and to top it all off, they've just added a free WiFi network. The only draw back to this place from my point of view is that they could offer a few more seasonal vegetable options as sides to their main entres. Pros: Great staff, atmosphere, decor Cons: Menu needs more veggies!

We recently discovered this addition to Potrero Hill and have been back three times in the last two weeks. We love everything about it - the atmosphere is laid back, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is wonderful. The menu covers all the French basics beautifully at more than reasonable prices (a stand-out in pricey San Francisco). I am not a big steak fan but their version of steak frites - flat iron steak with roquefort-peppercorn butter - is the best I've ever had. Their crepe selection (I recommend the crepe complete) is excellent as well. My only complaint is that I wish they served breakfast in the week in addition to their weekend brunch!
