I visited All You Knead on Sunday for dinner and was extremely disappointed with the veggie burrito. There were no vegetables, not even onions, in the burrito. It was not a 'veggie' burrito but a rice and beans burrito, and the tomatoes that were inside were most obviously canned. Very disappointing for the average bay area consumer who is accustomed to a certain caliber of restaurants.
However, the tortilla was toasted really nicely and the salad, herbal vinaigrette and guacamole that came with the burrito were all really good -- gave me something else to eat! My friend seemed satisfied with his cheesy egg and potato scramble, but I would not come back for a burrito; I'd go down the street to Taqueria El Balazo!

I have been getting the veggie burrito here for over a decade. It is HUGE, and you get a big salad that is super tasty along with it. You get more than your $$ worth. It is a casual neighborhood staple stop for breakfast all day and/or lunch, dinner, dessert or to just grab a few beers AND have a conversation. I love that it has stayed the same, even though I have changed! ;)

The food is good but the service is lousy, and it's gotten worse. I've been going here for the past 2 years and my last visit was the last straw. They are very short staffed to the point where they would have only 1 waitress on weekdays and 2 on weekends.
The last time, my table had to wait about an hour and 15 minutes for our meal (2 of the entrees were a bowl of soup!). After an hour and 15 minutes, our waitress comes around asking if we wanted our check! After she learned that we had never gotten our meal (including a simple coffee), it turns out that our order was skipped. Ridiculous. Right when we were about to get up and leave, finally, our food came.
The past few times I've gone to All You Knead, I've been really patient. However, this was the worst and I will not be coming back.
Pros: Usually fast seating. Food comes hot.
Cons: Very slow service, little uncomfortable having gnats hanging out on the wall.

I went there this morning and was pleasantly surprised by the unique breakfast items, the variety (vegan and vegetarian friendly) and the low prices. Omlettes, crepes, scrambles, etc. It was worth the 40 min ride from North Beach. I had the tofu crepe - smoked tofu with spring vegetables in a peanut sauce, potatoes, artichokes, and a fruit cup. My visiting brother had the vegetarian lasagna which came with vegetables, and an AMAZING Hungarian mushroom soup. It was a good thing we were going hiking in the park otherwise the large portions would've weighed us down. Our server was very good - polite, prompt, and friendly. Clearly All You Knead is a well-deserved popular neighborhood eatery. I'm definitely going back with other out-of-towners.
Pros: delicious food, wide variety, great value

After reading reviews praising All You Knead for its breakfast, I was sorely disappointed by my Sunday morning experience there. I ordered the artichoke, mushroom, basil, and cheddar omelette, and I found it pretty awful. The eggs tasted far from fresh (kind of like Egg Beaters), the olives tasted like the tin cans they had probably been sitting in for ages, and instead of fresh basil, the omelette was covered with way too many dried basil flakes (overwhelmed all of the other flavors). My boyfriend ordered the avocado (unripe and bland), bacon (burnt), and jack cheese omelette. The potatoes were okay, and the toast was regular supermarket sandwich bread (I would expect more from a place called "All You Knead"). The portions are huge and cheap, but why bother if the food doesn't taste good?
Pros: fast service, huge portions, inexpensive
Cons: food

The name of this restaurant, All You Knead, is derived from the idea that one plateful of food from this diner will tide you over for an entire day. Ain't that the truth! This restaurant serves a variety of homestyle dishes, including great breakfast skillets and home fried potatoes, pastas, soups, sandwiches, as well as a good selection of vegetarian fare. There's something for everyone here. The atmosphere is diner casual. The morning I ate breakfast there, Neil Young was playing in the background. Very peaceful and enjoyable diner. And as the name implies, I had plenty of leftovers for later in the day.
PROS: Diverse menu, great atmosphere, reasonable prices
CONS: Too much food (if that's possible)

All You Knead is a great temporary escape when you're wandering down Haight Street. Comfortable booths and ample seating with an enhanced diner menu. Portions are large and service is good. There used to be a sign posted near the restrooms that said something like, Not for use for doing drugs. I think they took that down, but I kind of thought it added character.

All You Knead is the first place we think of when we feel like going out to breakfast. HUGE portions, yummy food, low prices, fast and friendly service ... what more can you ask for? I've loved every omelette, scramble or crepe I've tried. The weekends can get a little crowded but the tables turn over fairly quickly. I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner (the dinner food seemed to be like something you'd find in a school cafeteria), but if you're not in the mood for breakfast, their salads and sandwiches are delicious too.
Pros: Generous portions, Yummy breakfast, Great service
Cons: Dinner food

All You Knead hits the spot if you are hungry. I had the broccoli, cheddar and ham omlette. Portions were generous and service friendly. Omlette came with homestyle potatoes with sour cream and 9 grain toast. The coffee was a little to strong for my taste but overall I really, really enjoyed it.
If you are in the neighborhood, I highly suggest it. Ample parking not withstanding.
Pros: Generous potions, Eclectic Ambiance, Friendly service
Cons: , Terrible parking
