My favorite thing about the Warfield is how close it is to Tu Lan, which means no matter how po’ you is, if you can afford a ticket to a show, you’ve got to have at least some change in your couch which is enough to eat at Tu Lan. And what could be better than an evening of music at one of SF’s best live music venues and a festive concert dinner beforehand? I like the size of the Warfield. Smaller than the Fillmore, you’re never too far away from the band no matter where you sit, though the stage is particularly awesome if you’re on the floor…

i saw Travis play here and it was great! They even played one acoustic song, to hear what the theater originally sounded like before ampps...wow, so cool...really it was the best concert I have... More

They even played one acoustic song, to hear what the theater originally sounded like before ampps...wow, so cool...really it was the best concert I have ever seen! Travis is a scottish brit pop band, with great lyrics! 2 anti-war/peace songs on the last cd! Really gotta appreciate that! The warfield is on market street, and is a great place! Check it out!

This a historic theater with a great looking stage. It's a decent sized venue, not too big, so the view are pretty good. I actually prefer the balcony, which is a less crazy than the floor. The location in downtown San Francisco can be a little sketchy but you should still check it out. I've heard other people complain about the service, but I've never had a problem.

The Warfield is not located in a great neighborhood. It is right on Market street -- the seedy part. Regardless, this is a great place to go see live music when in SF. I'm pretty sure it is the largest venue in SF. You can get floor seats (downstairs) or go upstairs to the balcony. I think balcony seats are cheaper. If you are pregnant but need your music fix, you can call ahead and reserve a table.

The Warfield is the host of many hot musical artists these days. Formerly a theater, it's now a venue for musicians to perform in. Inside there is a decent sized floor for general admission, and on top of that, there's a huge balcony that can seat hundreds. Although this larger setting doesn't provide an intimate atmosphere, it's still a great place to listen to your favorite acts.
