I went to the Zeum with a couple of friends and it was great. You have to go see everything at this place. There are so many things that I have explored when I went to the Zeum. There was the production lab, a computer lab and a theater that offers live performances. The one I really liked the most was the theater because I love watching live shows and the shows are great too. This is a place thats generally for kids and its very kid friendly.

I was looking for a beauty school, so of course I went for some informational interview. Zenzi's seems like a good deal for the money. It's not the best school, but it's deffinately not the worst (see Hilltop in Daly City.)
Zenzi started the school 20 years ago. She's a sweet lady who really wants students to succeed. They'll be moving into a new space soon and it promises to be nicer than their temporary space on Market.
I wouldn't let any of the students touch my hair. Theirs is bad enough.

The Yoga Tree space on Valencia kinda sucks as studios go. I hate that there's no real good place to change into my yoga skivvies and that narrow hallway waiting area always gets crazy as sweaty people from last class start pushing through nervous people trying to get prime map position for the next class. The room has no windows, which makes me sad on sunny days. That being said, the collection of teachers here is one of the best… also, it's one the only studios I know of that lets you reserve a spot online ahead of time for some of the busiest after work classes, so you don't rush over only find out that the class is sold out. The fact that classes do sell out here should be indication that a lot of people really like this place.

This place is a great small yoga studio. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and there is no sense of competition here, which is good. The Monday night class with Karl Erb is really great for decompression and body work. I would highly recommend checking it out. Also, they offer a really wide variety of disciplines and teachers, you are bound to find one you like.

I have been to at least 20 studios in SF of all shapes, sizes and styles of yoga. Yoga Flow is the best. From the minute you walk in, you can't help but smile. The classes are challenging without going overboard -- instructors are nice and knowledgeable. The best part is that the seem to know who they are and how they fit into the SF yoga community. What more can I say?
Oh wait -- there is one more thing ... for such a large amount of real estate in SF, the fees are surprisingly affordable.

Yay for bowling. I'm terrible at it normally, but at the Yerba Buena bowling alley, I seemed to have gotten worse. The prices are reasonable -- $20 per hour or $3.50 per game most days. You also have to rent shoes. The place was pretty empty when I went, but it was a Sunday. Maybe they're busier on other days? The service is perfunctory and quick. There's a restaurant built in that serves hamburgers and hot dogs and the like. Conveniently located next to the Metreon and ice skating!

Xxcel Learning is one of the greatest places to take your children to get help in schoolwork. They are dedicated to helping children succeed in their schools. They help to build self esteem and confidence. And all of the tutors that I have met with are very calm and patient. They provide a wonderful learning environment for the students.
