This is a local neighborhood paint and hardware store. It's kind of small and sometimes you will be able to find what you are looking for. Their inventory is not very large but it beats driving to Home Depot. The employees there are kind of not helpful and the tend to take a long time to service their customers.

This store offers a wide range of wallpaper samples, and also quite a decent amount of hardware tools. They are pretty big store for being a hardware store on Geary. One of the best places to shop for home improvement items in the Richmond District, and they offer fair prices. The staff that works there are very nice, and seem to take extra time to match you with what you want.

Everyone working there is knowledgable and friendly to customers.
The store can usually accomodate people working late - just call them and they will stay open for you an extra hour.

Creative Paint and Wallpaper is a great place to buy Benjamin Moore paint as well as other good brands. The people who work their are very knowledgeable and helpful. So much better than going to a big chain like Sherwin Williams. Creative Paint also carries light bulbs and other basic hardware items. I have always received great customer service here. Parking along Geary is usually pretty easy.
