If you need to wake up fast, Cafe abir has the best coffee in town. I have worked at Peets and I know my stuff. Don?t bother with the fancy drinks because the drip coffee is the best. Abir sells their fresh roasted coffee beans at a great price too. The sandwiches are really fresh and have tons of filling - I can usually split with a friend Pros: best coffee in town, can buy fresh roast beans Cons: none

After the long wait Cafe Abir re-opened last month all re-modeled, re-vamped ... and including a kitchen! They serve only a limited menu for lunch and dinner, but everything I have tried so far has been outstanding: Lyonnaise Salad (frisee with poached egg and panchetta) ... Goat Cheese w/ Roasted Beets on Salad ... Rotisserie Chicken with Grilled Vegetables ... Duck Rillettes on Salad ... all of this and more is not what you expect to see on the menu of a coffee shop - this is cafe fare with a nice French/Eruo twist! Great addition to the neighborhood! They also serve some nice wines by the glass - and turn the coffee shop into a nice ambient low-lit place at night... Pros: Great service, outstanding cafe menu - and still some of the best coffee in town. Cons: No credit cards ... laptop brigade invasion

I have been to Cafe Abir on many occasions and I am always shocked by how bad the service staff is. The people working behind the counter are terribly slow and completely oblivious to the customers...I have waited 3-5 minutes at the register for a cup of coffee...with the workers standing around chatting with each other...on more than one occasion! The coffee is great...the service is very bad...I am always conflicted about going here.... Pros: Coffee, Ambiance, Hours Cons: Service, Service, Service

When I heard Cafe Abir was opening up, I jumped at the chance to give it a go. What better place to enjoy an authentic Italian food than a new restaurant? Food was great at Cafe Abir and the neighborhood is great too - easy to park. The best part of the menu were appetizers and desert (think creme brule at $5 that taste like a $1K desert!!!!!) I highly recomend this place - check it out on a Tue - the quite day there.

Ahhh, how many Sunday mornings have I spent at Cafe Abir, leisurely sipping my vanilla latte while looking over the ills of the world in the New York Times, complimentary to read there of course. Cafe Abir is a very laid back cafe, but isn't dull. It's always fairly full, so if you go there to be alone, at least you won't be lonely.

I doubt people rate cafes that aften. But this cafe has to get a top ratings. The coffee could not be any better. I went there one mrning while they were roasting. It is strong, balanced and perfect. Their staff are top with thier impressive service. The design, atmopshere with the magaizine stand next door makes this hangout the top best in city Pros: coffee, atmopshere, service
