This is a great YMCA. It??s really convenient to go to if you work in the outer-downtown area or civic center area it is in the tenderloin however, if you go there during the day it??s not really an issue. I like the range of equipment they have and the terms of membership I can usually stop in the middle of the day and hit a few of the machines. There is usually no waiting for the most popular machines so that makes my workout even better. Parking as always is a challenge in the civic center area so I tend to just walk their from work. They have great shower facilities and the equipment is pretty new and maintained regularly. Would highly recommend if you work in the civic center area.

We had a small convention meeting at the Irish CulturaL Center not too long ago. I was pretty impressed with the facility. Everything looked so elegant. The tablecloths were very nice and there were fresh flowers at each table. The serves were very freindly and the rset of the staff members made everyone feel welcome. Overall it was a great experience. And teh food was yummy too!

If you like hot tub experience, Tropical Gardens Private Hot Tubs is definitely for you! This is the cleanest hot tub establishment I have ever been in – it sparkles from any way you look at it. There are also lots of tubs in there – and so you never end up leaving because hot tub is not available. Please, visit Tropical Gardens Private Hot Tubs and see how much you are going to enjoy the experience – I promise you!!! They also do parties!

Kind of like the Wal Mart of thrift stores, minus the evil part. This place is huge, filled with all manner of crap. But, if you’re willing to spend the time, gems abound. There’s a few clothing racks that say “better clothes” or something like that, and that’s where I’ve found some sweet suits and vintage things. But don't overlook the regular racks either because you never know. Other reasons to check the place out are shoes, records, broken appliances, and furniture. Everything is cheap cheap cheap. A nice blend of actual lower income folks and trendies all shopping together in harmony...

I had the chance to visit The Welcome Ministry and I found it to be the most loving and caring place that provides individual care and counseling to its homeless and hungry friends. Their website is http://www.oldfirst.org/welcomeministry/main/ and they are located at 1751 Sacramento Street. I spoke to Reverand Megan Rohrer when I went there and she was amazing. Call her if you are interested in volunteering or ask for her email!

I had an emergency and I had to bring my pet in to see a vet. The people at Pets Unlimited made me feel comfortable about coming in and the prices were reasonable considering this was an emergency. The vet, the pharmacist, the front desk staff, as well as the tech were professional and friendly and I really felt like my cat was in good hands. I would suggest anybody looking to adopt should contact them and continue receiving vet services from Pets Unlimited.
Thanks to the staff. My kittie is feeling much better!
