I like the music they play, but I don't find the station very adventurous. I grew up in Davis, where we had a local independent listener-supported classical music station in the low end of the dial. I got to hear all kinds of things at all hours of the day. KDFC is owned by one of those massive corporate radio chains, the Bonneville Corporation - the ones who like to slap together a format with some cute soundbites and no DJs and just leave it running all week. KDFC has announcers, but no particular sense of adventure - they're like the Top Forty classical station. They do, however, broadcast a wonderfully cheesy radio program about kids in the musical arts every Sunday morning at 9, which is worth getting up early to hear. Downside: the stations commercials run to questions like "Are you living a three-car lifestyle with a two-car garage?" (Actual commercial, paraphrased.) Answer: No. You idiots.
