This company does fabulous dinner parties in your house. They bring all the equipment; prep; conduct a fun-filled "cooking lesson" where they teach your guests how to make each of the dishes; assist the guests in preparing the dishes; serve everyone; then clean up. As the host, you have virtually no work to do and can enjoy your own dinner party and share the fun with the guests. It's a total blast, and everyone winds up having a terrific time.

The menus are eclectic, they make dishes from all over the world. I remember my friends' particular menu was vegetarian based, so the dishes consisted of mediterranean salads and vegetable dishes, veggie sushi rolls, broccoli onion cream soup, grape walnut foccacia bread, stuffed cheese raviolli, and others. Dessert was simple, yet delicious, some kind of fruit topped tarts.

I have attended several events catered by Living Room Events, from weddings to private parties to corporate events. The food and styling were superb no matter what the size or occasion.
Their focus is on organic, locally farmed meat and produce. Almost everything is prepared fresh and onsite.
Everyone I have talked to has also been extremely happy with the quality of their food and their inspired presentation!

More
Chic's Seafood Restaurant is a great place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner, even if you don't eat seafood! The restaurant is located on Pier 39 and has a great location, with glass windows looking out over the marina.
For those that don't eat seafood, there are plenty of options on the menu. The food does not taste fishy, which is often the case with seafood restaurants.
The atmosphere is upscale but not terribly so. It would be a comfortable place either in blue jeans or evening attire.
The staff is very friendly. We imposed on them to allow us to orchestrate an elaborate production in their restaurant. We were working with the Make A Wish Foundation and were granting the wish of a young boy. We had pirates of all types coming through the restaurant along with a couple of large television cameras and the folks at Chic's were very nice to assist us in making the boy's wish come true!

Since the owner is a family friend, I've been visiting this little Mission shop since I was a kid. Now I realize how lucky I was! Head straight to the back of the store and look for the ladies grinding masa and making their delicious homemade tortillas. They also sell the best chicken tamales and carnitas I've ever had, as well as breakfast burritos and lots of other prepared foods.
The shop also sells everything you would need to prepare your own mexican meal at home.
