Ever since I was younger, I have always loved going to this store. They have a great variety of candy and ice cream and the employees are always nice. There are always younger children there from the nearby schools, but, I still enjoy going there because it is a great enviornment. I would definately recommend this shop to anyone. They are a little pricey, but, I think it's worth it.

I am a chocolate lover and was very happy with this place. It' s a bit pricy but they have a great selection of chocolates. They even have the meat chocolate which does not taste like meat at all. I've just heard the Hershey just bought the place so hopefully they will keep the same confection and chocolate and not the Hershey chocolate.

I remember as a kid I used to love this candy store because they had such a huge selection of candies and it was nicely decorated. They had sweet candy, sour candy and sweet and sour candy. They charge by the pound or half a pound and it's pretty pricey for just a little bit of candy but if you have a sudden craving for it at the mall, then I say buy it because it's very satisfying.

I don't mean to brag, but I've been to two parties that have had Recchiuti chocolates. They're unmistakable, with the intricate little patterns on them. If you've ever had them, you'll understand why I went a little crazy. These chocolates are so expensive, when I'm at the Ferry Building I usually buy just one or two and eat them like Charlie (and the Chocolate Factory) – taking tiny bites and savoring every nanoparticle of chocolate taste. Exceptional tastes like this deserve 100% attention.

Sure this isn't the best chocolate in the world, but I actually prefer See's truffles to Godiva. I've been getting treats here since I was a kid, and I still love a box of chocolates from this shop every now and then. My favorite are their dark chocolates with nuts and their truffles. The staff is quite genrerous with samples as well. Go to Costco and buy some of their See's gift certifcates- good for 2 boxes of chocolates at a slight discount.

This little shop makes the best treats for a sweet tooth! You can buy mouth watering fudge by the pound (or fraction of a pound if you want), fresh made candies and truffles, and apples dipped in your choice of chocolate, caramel, or cherry flavored candy. A sticky mess to be sure, and they don't offer wet naps, so it was a time getting my daughters face clean after the cherry covered apple! I am one of those rare women who don't *LOVE* chocolate- in fact I can usually go without it, but one of my few weaknesses are chocolate haystacks, and the ones they offered here didn't disappoint. My husband is a chocolate covered cherry addict, so he tried a cherry bomb- basically a cherry wrapped in fudge, dipped in chocolate, with the stem sticking out the top. I think he was in heaven!

Godiva chocolates are great. They are very yummy and look delicious too. The customer service at Godiva is fantastic. The taste is truly heaven-sent and you feel like a diva just eating it. I think that's why the name is Godiva. I love the chocolate-dipped strawberries because they are really pretty and they taste super good. Just give it a try and I bet you'll keep coming back.

The motto for Z. Cioccolato is "The Sweetest Spot in North Beach," and I am willing to bet my sweet tooth that the motto tells nothing but the truth. Filled with a very wide variety of candies and sweets, walking into Z. Cioccolato makes it seems like you've just walked into candy heaven. The very nice decor makes you forget that cavities exist so that you will buy as many types of candy as you are able to get your hands on - but be careful, because a few handfuls may cost a walletful.

This is a cool little shop that features an eclectic mix of chocolate and old-school lunch boxes. It was pretty neat to see a variety of lunch boxes, they even had a few Happy Bunny ones (my personal favorites). The owner of the store also makes prints of San Francisco street signs and has them made into tin boxes. They are really cool, and he said he can make any street sign as long as you provide the picture (and it's a workable picture). Besides that you can get your name made out of chocolate or any other variety of chocolate paraphenilia-quite a destination for any chocolate lover. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out!
