Café Prague is the epitome of everything North Beach. (except for the Prague part, but what's in a name?). Drinks frothingly poured and steamed from gleaming brass machines, little tables to sit thigh-rubbingly close to your sweetie, old men at the bar sipping wine and conversing of the neighborhood, of the old days, gossip, who knows. I like being here, not just because Cafe Prague fits the stereotype (and I'm a sucker for places that get it right), but also, because the stereotype itself gets it right, which is why we were looking for it in the first place. Czech, Italian... what's the diff?

Cafe Prague is a great place for lunch and offers a nice respite from the usual quick lunch or takeout places that we all end up frequentng on our lunch breaks. This cafe is quaint, warm, and has a great array of delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads. It's a very filling, hearty meal for very reasonable prices. Everything is fresh and served quickly. Tables are pretty close together, but this just ends up adding to the homey feel of the place.

There are a wide array of coffee to choose from. They have other aspects of food such as cakes, cookies, and dishes aside from coffee. Their coffee is just the same or slight better than the old name Starbucks. Their sceneray is beautiful and offers WIFI internet as well. Employers working there are courteous and nice if you try to get to know them.

If you are looking for a yummy lunch, check out Cafe Prague. They offer lots of great sandwiches (the tuna melt rocks), all of which come with soups (which are also really good) or salad. They also offer daily specials and other items. While the service can be a bit slow, it's still a favorite because of the food. Plus it's a fun, funky atmosphere, and there are a couple of outdoor tables available.
