When I called OBMOBT, I was a little anxious. My belongings were in a basement, so I wasn't sure how they'd take it. Paul was very helpful in going over the process and how OBMOBT worked. On the day of the move, Quentin and Jan (I apologize if I misspelled your name) arrived on time with smiles. They were polite and courteous; and they didn't seem to mind that the basement ceiling was really low which was reassuring. They went over my inventory list and did an eye check of everything that needed to be moved. I didn't have a lot -- just 50+ boxes and a few pieces of furniture and belongings. They really hoofed it! Carrying 3-4 boxes on their backs, they loaded the truck in less than 40 minutes. But the amazing thing was at the other end. My new place is cross town and on the 3rd floor. They arrived in record time (I thought they would take longer in a truck) and hoofed it there too! 3-4 boxes per guy, up 2-3 flights of stairs. I swear it must have taken only 20 minutes because in all, everything was completed in 1.25 hours! They were fast, efficient and professional. Afterwards, I also received a follow-up call from OBMOBT to see how things went. Great customer service! I definitely will use OBMOBT again; and I recommend that anyone looking for courteous, efficient professional movers to give them a call. Pros: Courteous, fast, professional attitude. Great customer service all around. Cons: None.

I was majorly procrastinating on hiring movers for my fiance and myself to move from our seperate residences and into our first fabulous one bedroom. After hearing them recommended several times, I figured I'd give them a call and see if they could fit me in. The nicest man I've ever spoken to over the phone walked me through the whole process and made me feel cared for and at ease. He was great at following up with me and scheduled my move date for the day I requested. On move day, two buffer than hell guys showed up right on time and my fiance's place, and proceeded to quickly but carefully load all his worldly possesions onto their truck. They were FAST, STRONG, and POLITE! Seriously nice guys. After that, they came to my home. My place was a condo with obnoxious HOA rules that we were bending a bit, and these guys made it work. After dismanteling several of my pieces of furniture, they made quick work of carrying my heavy things down to their truck! I have substantial pieces that I had previously been worried about, (like a 6' x 3", 200lb glass top desk) but they carefully wrapped all my items and secured them well within their truck. Everything arrived at my new home in perfect condition! They set up my bed for me and were very curtious and FAST once again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND One Big Man movers and will DEFINITELY use these guys again when the time comes. Their prices were fair and they do an oustanding job. The owner even followed up with me just to double check that I was pleased and warmly wished me and my fiance all the best! What an outstanding moving company to do business with! Thank you, Fred!! I hired this company at the very last minute and they were very accommodating, fast, efficient, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. Three guys showed up early on a Sunday morning and moved our 2 bedroom apartment in just under 2 hours - very much worth the money. I will hire them again next time I move.

These folks are great. They're really organized: they make you fill out a complete inventory, but that means that they can give you a good estimate of how long it will take, and they on time. And the crew was fantastic: really strong (it was amazing watching them carry four heavy boxes of books on their backs (!) up 3 flights of stairs) and fast (they never seemed to stop for a breath). I'd definitely use them again. Pros: fast, organized & strong

I had a fantastic experience with my move thanks to these guys. The team they sent moved our stuff fast as can be and everything made it to our new place just the way it left our old. Everything was done faster than I expected and the price was great. All this on less than 7 days notice. If you're moving and want to hire help these are the guys to go with.

I just used One Big Man to move my household effects into a shipping container to go overseas. When I first called, I got lots of good advice and help on the phone from Wolfgang. He really knew a lot about container packing! Then I had three of the best, smartest, most sweet and helpful young men work with me and my husband on the chaotic day of our move. They were so hard-working and so non-macho at the same time - a rare combo. I have never had less stress from the movers - the move was difficult enough and these three made it easier and lowered my anxiety considerably. THANK YOU Alex, Ben and Ezra (alpha order)!!!!!! Let's face it, moving stinks. But these gents are absolute gems clearing the air of some of that moving day stench. From the initial phone call right through to the follow-up the day after, they want to make you happy. My crew was on time, fast, friendly, personable, polite, careful, ... did I mention fast :-) ? They provided wardrobe boxes, blankets and plastic wrap, plus I had an additional stop making organizing my move more difficult for them. But no complaints from these guys, just a big "no problem," with a smile. And the price was extremely reasonable. I usually use Delancey Street, but they were booked and a friend recommended Big Man and boy am I glad she did. I'll never use another company. Thanks, Big Man!!!
