We used Celtic Movers & Storage of San Francisco to move half of a mostly pre-packed two bedroom flat. Other than our wall hangings, everything that wasn't prepacked (including our couch, our mattress and a desk) came out ripped, stained and broken.
It cost twice the price of the estimate, and we had to babysit the two regular movers and their friend for them to get a move on. After they were done, it took them 30 minutes to give us the bill, in which they included their 30 minute post completion break.
Lazy, slow, careless. Not what you look for in a moving company.

Celtic Moving moved our small legal office from downtown San Francisco to San Rafael on very short notice, during the holiday season. We were very pleased with the care taken with the furniture, the speed, and the reasonable cost. We will certainly call them the next time we need moving services.

Celtic Movers did a great job and were fast. They can pack your whole house for you, but it is much faster (and therefore cheaper) if you have everything packed first before they come.

You can definately rely on Celtic Moving & Storage when moving. We moved into a house that we needed to remodel before furnishing it with our old furniture - so we hired Celtic Moving & Storage to move everything into their storage and then out of it into our house. Everything went smooth, nothing got damaged. Celtic Moving & Storage does cost a lot but what can you expect?
