this restaurant is consistently good. i go to pj's anytime i want to have yummy food. entrees are good and so are the tapas. as a matter of fact, i've ordered nothing but tapas at times and it's just as good as ordering a big entree. they give alot of food so sharing is good. the oysters and oyster shooters are great!!!

All I remember from my childhood of this place was a lot of green algae growing in tanks, everywhere!
I went recently and really enjoyed the Living Philippine Coral Reef exhibit.
"The Academy chose to feature a Philippine coral reef because the reef systems in the Philippines are among the most diverse in the world."
Very serene and eerie. Cool!

this place is amazing, with the beautiful park in the back, cafe, and playstation store in the lobby, shops in the 2nd floor, theater in the 3rd floor, and arcade in the 2nd floor, this is a building with everything u need to entertain ur self. there are shops that will amaze u with anime, toys, gaming, and food. there are also a bowling alley on the top floor. so this is a non stop entertainment center. this is a must visit if u are in san francisco.

I may be biased, since I used to frequent the store in the 1960's~quite frequently.
I'm happy to hear that Mr. Roche is still there and doing well. I still have all the goodies I bought way back when, Irish music/records, clothing, etc... the only things that have long been gone are to foods!
I haven't lived in SF for years, but often thought about the little store and Mr. Roche.
I hope he continues to prosper!

Avant Card is a really very very cool card and paper store near union square and Chinatown. They have very fine quality cards and paper, but don’t look for any of that Hallmark Stuff, because you won’t find it here! Avant Card is more like the designer clothes of cards. The staff here are very friendly too.

We had a small convention meeting at the Irish CulturaL Center not too long ago. I was pretty impressed with the facility. Everything looked so elegant. The tablecloths were very nice and there were fresh flowers at each table. The serves were very freindly and the rset of the staff members made everyone feel welcome. Overall it was a great experience. And teh food was yummy too!

Las Santaneca, in the deep Mission is packed until 3am (sometimes later) every weekend with locals throwing back Coronas and eating some of the best El Salvadorean food in the city. I go there all the time late at night and the food is always the perfect way to put a cap on a serious night of good times.

Losing a loved one is always difficult. Plans their afterlife is different. The people of McAvoy O'hara make things easier. They are very experienced in helping with services and memorials. They do not try to sell you extras if you don't need it. It's seems like it not about how much things cost, it's about how much the person you lost means to you. They are very sympathic and understanding.

We were very pleased with the service we received at Green Street Mortuary yesterday at our Uncle's funeral. Included in the service was the marching band for the parade and a slide show presentation, in addition to the excellent limousine rides to the cemetery, around town, to Uncle's business & home, then back to the mortuary. Our driver was very accommodating when we needed to find a restroom on the way back to the mortuary, as well. The limo driver even handed my husband a granola bar, when he mentioned that he was very hungry from the long service without having had anything to eat since breakfast!
All aspects of the funeral were handled with taste and sensitivity. The Green Street band performed beautifully, as well. We are very appreciative of the personalized attention and efficiency of the process. Their service WAS expensive, but that is expected, and you get what you pay for. All in all, we had a positive impression of the mortuary's performance, during a most difficult time.

For an old hotel, the Palace Hotel is very elegant and charming. The bedding is heavenly and the room is very well-decorated. The hotel is located in a great, relatively safe neighborhood. The Sunday brunch buffet is wonderful and very filling. The tea is delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
