Zazie's is always worth the wait. Brunch is so good, that I usually end up ordering multiple breakfast items out of pure indecision. The gingerbread pancakes with poached pears and lemon curd are to die for, and on the savory side, the range of poached eggs are cooked to perfection. Unlike most breakfast places that serve food you could cook in your kitchen (if only we all had the energy on a Saturday morning), Zazie's serves up food for a reasonable price that is beyond most people's cooking abilities. Perfectly balanced, fresh, and tasteful, this spot never ceases to satisfy the palate.

Zazie has become one of my favorite brunch places. It's a great place to enjoy the patio setting, esp on a sunny day. The choices are relatively simple, but made ample with their "une, deux, trois" choice. The wait can be long, but there is the Boulangerie or Tully's at which you can enjoy the wait with a morning paper, good book, or with good company.
Pros: Great Outdoor Seating, Cozy ambiance
Cons: Expect to wait, Not recommended for big groups

Chicken sandwich during lunch was tasty, but waitress was quite rude. Floor plan was very cramped and bathroom was a closet with an incomplete latch.
Pros: Palatable Food
Cons: Rude Service

It is very cozy, the food is great, I like the patio outside... However, it can be very busy and hard to get a table, cannot reserve in advance; it's a great place for groups not so much for kids/dates imho.
Pros: ambience, menu
Cons: parking is hard to find; it's hard to get a table - there is typically a wait

Parking in the area can be a pain, but it's a general thing for SF. Went there with my honey for a Saturday brunch. For a French place we were surprised they had no pastries and very limited (if any) desserts + limited choice of bread (white or wheat !). The poached eggs are really good, we order "La Mer", it's basically with crab, it was really good. The Pancakes are also excellent and I ordered a Cafe au Lait which was really big and good. The atmosphere and the location are great, lots of energy and it was very cozy. In summary, we liked it!
Pros: Portions
Cons: Lack real French flavor

This place is well worth the wait for brunch. Great food, great coffee, mimosas, etc. The egg dishes are always perfect (one of the few places I would actually eat hollandaise sauce) and the gingerbread pancakes with homemade lemon curd are to die for. If you can sit outside on the patio, it's a real treat. Even when it's chilly, there are blankets outside at the tables to keep you warm.
Pros: Excellent brunch, great variety
Cons: Long lines, parking

Went on a friday and had a wonderful time at zazie. My date and I shared a remarkable plate of mussels and they were the most decadent and delicious mussles that I can remember. The prices are remakably resonable (including the wine) and the service is friendly and attentive if a little slow. The garden was packed so we ate inside, but the ambience and the food were perfect for a causal dinner. The lamb was cooked a perfect medium rare, and my date's pork chop was both moist and delicious. Desert is also very nice, the lemon souffle is quite refreshing, a perfect palate cleansing end to the meal. I agree with some of the reviewers that the food isn't all that french but nonetheless I plan to go back again and again. Oh and did i mention the mussles....
Pros: Excellent food, wine, casual ambience
Cons: slow service, a bit crowded

I've been here three or four times, and I have always left full and happy. Normally, I don't like going to the same restaurants over and over with so many choices here in the city. I always make an exception for Zazie. Thier Croque Madam is to die for! The french toast is also a favorite. I highly recommend the heated patio out back if it's available. This place is one of the things that makes the Cole Valley neighborhood so great!
Pros: Great Brunch, Nice Patio
Cons: Can sometimes take awhile to get in

had the small salad with warm goat cheese, which was simple & excellent, but not worth it without the cheese. also had the salmon in cream tarragon sauce, which was ok. the salmon was incredibly moist, and the sauce wasn't too overbearing, but overall the taste was a bit on the bland side. my boyfriend had a beef stew dish, which was also good, but just ever so slightly bland.
overall, great restaurant, definitely worth checking out.
Pros: nice staff, awesome patio, goat cheese salad!
Cons: no wine glasses?
