Family Billiards is located right next to Japan town in San Fracisco. Parking is available in the back and on the sidewalk. A little far from the freeway if your not from SF though. Price per hour is good compared to other pool halls around the area. Service is ok and the do have waitresses at night. They don't have a bar but they do serve beer. They have tounaments here every month so this is a place to make some money if your a shark.

My friends and I have been going to Family Billiards for over 4 years and it is still the best place to play pool. I have met a lot of friendly people visiting there almost every time. The prices here are not bad and food can be pricey depending on what you buy. If you bring your kids, they can spend their time at the arcades so that you can enjoy your time in the pools. This place is very clean and their service is professional.

I have been shooting at Family Billiards for years now, and have met many people at this pool hall, which happens to be my favorite pool hall in San Francisco. The price for pool is moderate, although the food is a bit pricey (items like their garlic fries are really good though). There are year-round tournaments, some open to professionals and experts, some open to novices. There are a few video arcades at Family Billiards, and you can choose your own selection of music by paying the jukebox there. The employees there are as nice as pool hall employees come, and they have employees who walk between the pool tables at all times, taking your order and picking up garbage and tidying up the place so there is barely ever a mess. Try Family Billiards, because I have a feeling you'll like it as much as I do.
