I am a hairstylists worst nightmare. I am a blonde and very very fussy. I have been going to see Katie now for about a year and she has changed my brassy locks into healthy beautiful shiny hair. She tells me exactly how it is and I have great respect for her opinion and expertise. If you are struggling to find a colorist...I highly recommend you go see Katie at Posh salon!!! Might i add-She also works early morning and late nights.

Thank you, thank you, to Bethany, the owner of Posh salon. She gave a multitude of apologies for not getting back to me; that she had not received any messages from me. She had spoken with Arthur, the stylist, and thought he had taken care of my refund. The situation was just one misunderstanding after another. After seeing my review on Yelp, she called right away to explain what had happened on her end and to offer to make it right. She offered me a full refund of my first haircut or a haircut with her at her next available appointment. I happily accepted the cut from her! She did a WONDERFUL job fixing my hair! Thank you Bethany and Posh Salon. I will most definately continue to go to this salon and to encourage others too as well. (Previous Review) I am so sad to post this review but I really gave Posh a chance... I've been going to the salon for about three years and have seen Arthur for 2 cuts before this last one. He's always done a great job and I've given him and the salon multiple referrals - a great cut is like a walking billboard! This last appointment was terrible from the start - Arthur kept looking at his watch and leaving to answer his cell phone. After he rushed through the "cut" I said that it wasn't what we talked about, that I wanted more layers. He said he didn't have time to fix it then and to make a follow-up as I was practically shoved out the door. When I came in for the corrective cut I was treated terribly by him, it was as if I was being manipulated into thinking the cut was my fault. What's more he tried to charge me for a second cut. In addition to being made to feel like I was to blame, with an almost vengeful attitude he gave me the layers I "asked for" and left me with terribly hacked and uneven layers. Objectively a bad cut. After being treated so insultingly I felt too awkward to confront Arthur again for fear of what he would do next to my hair so I called to talk to the owner, Bethany. She too was un-empathetic and rude when I requested a refund. To close our call she said she would get back to me shortly once she spoke to Arthur. That was 3 weeks ago and I have followed-up numerous times. Again, I hate that this negative experience happened, but as a loyal customer I gave them every opportunity to make it right. A poor cut can happen, but Bethany had the opportunity to show professionalism and pride in her business to keep me as a client. Instead, my references have become negative word-of-mouth and I will never go back.

I took a chance by chosing a colorist here on citisearch based on reviews, and I decided to see Katie. I was very nervous because my hair was dyed black with permanent color and I wanted to be a mixture of brown and blonde again. I am also growing my hair out from a short a-line so did not want my hair to be fryed either- of course. She explained to me that it may take a few appointments before i reach my goal in order to sustain the health of my hair. She did not promise me exactly what i wanted and just bleach the heck out of it, but what she did is amazing (beautiful Hi-lites on my whole head, and lightened my base) My hair is still very healthy, and is now a very dimentional brown shade- gorgeous and much better than the black. Her foil placement was perfect and she really took her time with me. I will be refering others!!! Pros: Great colorist, knows her stuff Cons: Street parking, but worth the hassle

Regardless of what you are trying to achieve Katie will not only listen to your ideas, thoughts and interest but she will also be honest with you as to what will work best. If you've got dark hair and wanna go light WITHOUT gross brassy-nesss or if your looking for something a little different not too dramatic Katie is the best. She can color as natural as you like or as drasticly different without any mishap. I searched and tested lots. She got extensive education in color technique that makes it all possible. I've been seeing Arthur for years because he has an amazing talent. He's a tentative listener, has great ideas, and is expert with the scissors. I always leave my appointments with him feeling great. I highly recommend Arthur if you're looking for a new stylist, someone who will give you a consistent cut every time, or someone who will help you make a big change if that's what you need. I can't count how many times I've been stopped on the street and asked, "Who does your hair?" Pros: Great cuts

Arthur did wonders with my hair this week. I have wavy, sometimes unmanagable hair and have a devil of a time finding someone who knows how to cut it properly. Jamie's been doing my hair for the last three years. She completely changed the texture of my hair by simply 'cutting' it right. I have very straight - fine hair which was damaged previously by razors and careless stylists. Jamie helped me re-hab and did an awesome up-do for my wedding last September as well. I have also been going to see Katie at Posh for my color. I moved to San Francisco from New York last February and a friend reccommended i see her. She has true expertise in color and we always have a very pleasant conversation. As the seasons have changed shes recommended suble changes that have really accented my skintone. Check her out..parking can be a little bit tough but she often works late so that makes it easier.
