I've been to Union Nails once before. I was in the neigborhood and I wanted to have my nails done. I walked into the Salon without an appointment, and only had to wait for about 10 minutes. When a manicurist was available, she told me to pick out a color, and they had a variety of colors to chose from. I picked a color and the lady told me to sit down in the chaor so she can begin doing my nails. She was very nice and made conversation, which I really enjoy. I did notice that she opened a new set of utensils, which is really important to me that everything was clean. The prices were pretty reasonable and the nail polish did last for a while before they began to chip. I would return to this salon when I am in the area.

This place always gets you in a spa chair within 10 minutes or so, if there is a wait, and you can't beat the price of $23 for a mani/pedi. Its centrally located to nob hill and russian hill, pacific heights and the marina - most convinient if you live somewhere near polk street. They are very professional and give you a quick foot rub, but the place is like a well oiled machine - quick, efficient and impersonal. They get the job done right, I have never complained, and its a good price, but you won't get personalized service.
