The food was just passable. The wine list lacking. Service was amateur.

North Beach is a great place. Lorenzo (the owner) is the warmest man and will make you feel at home. The prosciutto is the best ever (check out the prosciutto room). Also, try the petronioni olive oil and the Poggio wine. The house special chicken is truly amazing. Definitely a nice place on the upper scale price wise, but the food and atmosphere make it worth it!

This not-so-cleverly-named North Beach eatery is a true gem. Owned and operated by winemaker Lorenzo Petroni, it is home to the absolute best roasted chicken I have ever tasted, as well as prosciutto so delicious that it melts in your mouth. In addition, it is one of the only places where you can purchase Petroni's signature wine, the "Poggio," which is an exquisite bordeaux blend that is unrivaled in taste and sophistication. Beyond the fine wine and cuisine, however, the biggest reason to visit North Beach Restaurant is Petroni himself. Ever the gracious host, Petroni presents a cross between Santa Claus and the Godfather, and is often on hand to greet both friends and diners alike. A perfect choice for a special occasion.
