I had some friends from out of town over, and they wanted to see Alcatraz. I realized that even though I grew up in San Francisco, I hadn't seen it...

I had some friends from out of town over, and they wanted to see Alcatraz. I realized that even though I grew up in San Francisco, I hadn't seen it before either. So we quickly booked a tour through Blue and Gold Fleet. It was only about $60 for four people, and it was a really fun tour. The commentary is pretty educational without being boring. The only thing that might bother people is that there's a hike up to the cellhouse, and its really tiring. Good exercise, though, and there is an hourly shuttle for those who aren't up to it.

I had some friends from out of town over, and they wanted to see Alcatraz. I realized that even though I grew up in San Francisco, I hadn't seen it before either. So we quickly booked a tour through Blue and Gold Fleet. It was only about $60 for four people, and it was a really fun tour. The commentary is pretty educational without being boring.
