There are many pizza places in town, but this one stands out. The resaturant itself is very nice, and the food is even better. The pizza is not too thick or too thin, and is not greasy by any means. The employees here are great, they're very friendly and know their regular customers well (they take good care of you here).

Being Italian, I tend to be a little critical (maybe too much) of Italian food. Lorenzo's is fair at best but you are hearing this from an Italian cook. My feeling is that non-Italian will like this place as it is on the same lines as Olive Garden.

The Toy Tree is a great place to go if you are tired of the plastic jungle of places like Toys R Us. The toys here are terrific - lots of crafty kits - scrapbooks, jewelry, paint your own umbrella. They have Thomas the Tank Engine toys and accessories. They even have some of the old-fashioned toys that I played with as a child...do you remember that pull-toy rotary phone that had eyes that wiggle when you roll it?
You can park along Church Hill Road or go behind the Toy Tree for more parking - if that's full, go to the large lot around the corner past Mocha coffee shop, it's a short pleasant walk through Sandy Hook Center to get over to the Toy Tree.

Did you know that a running toilet can run your well dry? Well, we found out the hard way today when we ran out of water. Unbeknowst to us, all three of the toilets in the house had been running non-stop for who knows how long.
The first question Bill from Tim Conlan Plumbing asked me when he arrived was if any of the toilets in the house were running. Who knew that was the root of our problems?
Anyway, about Bill and Tim Conlan Plumbing - fast, efficient and economical! Once we realized what the problem was, he explained to my husband what needed to be done, shut off the valves to the toilets and then showed me how to re-fill the hot water tank.

I first visited the Graceful Planet at their location at the Mill in Sandy Hook. They've since moved to Berkshire Road in Sandy Hook (that much closer to my house!).
The programs there range from musical theater to all kinds of dance (ballet to hip hop) for all ages! My daughter took her first "creative movement" class there. I've done yoga, am tempted to try Pilates and will be starting and adult "Ballet Workout" in a few weeks.
The dance/yoga rooms are large, airy, spacious and just plain "feel good."
The prices are very reasonable, you can buy "class cards" that allow you to try a lot of different classes at a bulk rate. It's easy to get to (just across the street from Newtown High School) and the parking is good.
