Okay, my dad always mentioned this place and I never managed to make it there with him and now he has passed on. I decided to take my husband there for our anniversary. Yes, it is loud and you sit on picnic tables inside, but it was great. I wasn;t looking for a romantic place because after dinner was the key. The steak was amazing. I ordered the Filet and it was the best I have ever tasted. To tell you the truth, even the baked potato was fabulous! Dinner was served quick. Great prices. Great spot to take kids and relax while eating great!!!

I've lived in SD for 25 years and as a lover of Japanese food have never found a better place! Not in LA's Little Tokyo where I worked for 15 years, nor in SF where I grew up or in Nyc where I lived for 11 years before coming here.
Always consistently great!

Montanas has a great mix for both the older and younger crowd. Its great for those who know how to two step/line dance and if you don't know it is easy to pick up if you are willing. The crowd is always cheerful and ready w/ instructions if you need it!

This is my first time doing a review. This place has delicious food. Honestly, it is the best Mexican Food I have ever had. They have fairly quick service after one would order there meal. They have big portions for big appetites. Not only are there entree's big, but you also start out with a bowl of chips and TWO different types of salsa. One is mild and one is "hot." The "hot" is really that spicy. I have heard of people disagreeing about that, but I went there the other day and i was eating the "hot" sauce with my chips and figured it was the mild one. Both salsas are still really good though, and in fact, I have talked to people who actually mix them together to get what they call "just the right flavor." Personally l haven't tried that. All in all, I have always had good service with great food. Sometimes there is a wait because of the popularity of the place but the wait is worth it. I also must mention one down side and it is the parking. They have an extremely small parking lot. Sometimes one may have to park across the street near the bowling alley. All the parking lots around Casa Del Rey's parking lot say No Parking but for our customers or tenants only. Parking can be a bit of a pain, so maybe get there early.

The food here is great. A few items they offer are burgers, chicken dishes, chicken wraps and oriental style chicken bowls. They also have a new Weight Watchers menu if your watching your calories. The portions for the Weight Watcher meals are small, but filling.
They also offer a drink menu which includes an amazing Mudslide, drizzled with chocolate syrup. Service was great!

This is the little chinese restaurant you must visit. It is small and the place is not too appealing...but forget that. The food is great, you must try their orange chicken. It is very tasty and sweet. This is my favorite chinese restaurant and the great thing is that it is owned and operated by a Chinese family.
Pros: definitely the food
Cons: it looks too fast food, and it is small

The terriyaki burger was the best hamburger I've had in a very long time. Believe me, I know hamburgers, my nickname when I was growing up was Wimpy, because hamburgers were my absolute fave. I haven't had a burger this good in so long, I'm definitely going to be eating there again

I know for fact that Mateo uses the freshest ingredients for his dishes; best out-of-the-oven bread served with dinners; biggest and best tasting pizzas in all of So. Calif. (a medium pizza at Mateo's is equivalent to other pizzaria's large). Mateo still keeps his prices affordable so why mess up your kitchen?! Closed on Sundays and Mondays but I generally eat there or take-out once a week!
