We love Thai food and usually order it to-go from here. We love the chicken red curry (medium - which is pretty spicy for us) and our kids love the fried rice. They have a lot of other great dishes but this is what we order every single time. I also love their thai iced tea with boba! Yum! They're pretty fast at putting our order together when we phone it in too. You can usually find a coupon in one of the magazines you get in the mail but the only bad thing is that it is for dine-in only.

I'm a big fan of thai food and I normally only go to certain places. The food is good and the service is also good. It is a family owned business and they keep their flavors true to the thai culture. Not too spicy and not too bland. Good experience all around.

This restaurant is in the perfect location in Clairemont. They are very prompt to seat you and take your order when you are ready. I eat here at least 3-4 times a month and every experience was positive and have never had a complaint about their food. I order the pad thai, spicy noodles, golden shrimp and chicken. The food comes within 5-10 mins and the servers are always nice. This is by fair my favorite place to have Thai food.

Fresh ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere, Thai Time is a great place to go. The Yum Neau was very good, the curry is also good. The Yum Neau had fresh cucumbers, tender beef and just tasted very fresh. I will go again and try out some more entrees.

Its not much to look at but the food is great. I try something new every time I go and amhave been exceptionally happy with the BBQ chicken and Pad Thai. A usually get a $5 philly roll on the side. Yummy! Try it and you'll become a regular in no time.

Okay, I'm writing this with mixed emotions. We don't want this place to get overrun with patrons, and lose its modest family-restaurant charm. But, I couldn't help notice the reviews posted which really don't do justice to this gem of a place. We've been going to Thai Cafe about once every 2-4 weeks for the last five years, since we discovered it. The 6-7 of us in our extended family usually descend on the place en mass, and I can say that some of us (in-laws) have very discriminating palates for authentic southeast asian food. This is a family-run place where most of the regulars come for the buffet ($6.50 for lunch, $8.99 for dinner). For those who are sensitive, a number of the dishes are pretty spicy.
The number of items available in the buffet is moderate; but each item is carefully prepared and simply superb. There are two soups every day, Spring Rolls, a number of salads of which cucumber-squid is my favorite. There are appetizers, cream-cheese fried won-tons, fried half-moon. But, don't load up on those. Often (?at dinner), there are skewered fried shrimp which are out of this world, and also fried squid,strips, and tender and flavorful skewered chicken. Other favorites of ours are the Pad Thai and Spicy Noodles. There is usually a nice sweet-sour chicken, and soy-sauce stewed eggs. There are three curries, a red, green, and yellow, all with chicken, and also with eggplant (red), and carrots potats (yellow). There is a terrific spicy catfish and also mussels. There are a few assorted vegetable dishes. All go terrific with steamed or fried rice. For desert, there are orange wedges and coconut jello. The oranges are carefully chosen from a local market, and these are some of the sweetest oranges you'll ever have. Along with the orange wedges, the coconut jello is always a huge hit with our kids.
