First of all, this is the worst Thai I have ever had. This is an absolute honest review of the quality of food I had at this restaurant. I ordered the red curry surprise with shrimp. My wife ordered the tom krap soup with chicken. The soup was watered down to a level of where you could actually taste the tap water mixing unevenly with the soup. Also it was flavored with lime juice from a bottle rather than fresh. Totally inedible and about 10 bucks-what a deal! The red curry fared no better with diluted flavors that were plain and cheap to say the least. I thought that Thai Time was kinda bad, but compared to Di Chan its a deal.
Pros: None
Cons: Poor quality

The Thai food here is amazing! It is a small and cozy place in the same area as VIP buffet. My favorite dish to get here would have to be the Pad Thai! I will definitely be back soon!

Di- chan is delicious, the portions are huge and the service is great. I don't know what crawled up the other guys butt, but he needs to simmer down. This has got to be one of the better thai food places in san diego. I am thai food fan and eat a ton of it. Everything I've tried here has been great.
This place is great. GO THERE.
Pros: Great food, HUGE protions
Cons: Smallish

DiChan has new owners, and they are never there. I tried calling the new owners several times with no response to complain about the food and service. The food has changed and it's not as good as when Wit owned the place. The servers are horrible. We were there for lunch and almost ready to leave, when the waitress came to the table and asked us to leave. WE WILL NEVER EVER go back to DiChan again.
Cons: Bad service and it's always hot. They do not have A/C or they choose not to use it.

I liked that the business was very cozy and small-- it's not a big chain and doesn't have the rushed feel of many other restaurants. I ordered a spicy rice noodle dish with a garlic paste chili-- the spicy level ranged from 1-10, 10 being the most spicy. I picked 5-- however, when my dish came out, it was VERY spicy- more of a 7 if anything. I was disappointed as this dampered my dining experience quite a bit. I heard someone else at another table complaining that their dish was too hot, fiery in fact. Also, their curry dishes do not automatically come with rice-- you have to order refillable rice on the side for an extra dollar. I thought that was wierd-- do they expect you to eat the curry by itself? Why wouldn't it automatically come with it? Anyway, a red curry was ordered as well and at a level 6 spicy, it was less spicy than the first and tasted great. I would recommend the curries and perhaps being more careful with the spicy level request. The noodle was about $9 and the curry $12-- not bad.
PROS: good curry
CONS: be careful w/ requesting the spicy level

This is a small little thai place that is comfortable for a casual night out. I really liked the angel wings (stuffed chicken wings) and the pad thai. The only thing is that it can get a little crowded because the restaurant is so small. The prices run about $7 for appetizers and $10 for entrees. When I went, we ordered the angel wings (2 wings) and the pad thai and it was enough for the both of us. Expect to spend about $30 for two people.

This is the first thai restaurant I went to and I must admit, I loved their food. The angel wings were excellent. The food is great. I dont know how it is at other thai restaurants but I thought this restaurant was a little pricey for the amount of food you get. But I have yet to try others. This restaurant was quite small as well. But overall I enjoyed my time there.
PROS: Great tasting food
CONS: price vs. amount of food and quite small
