I always use to go to Amarin Thai Restaurant off Mira Mesa for lunch. There lunch menu is reasonable, a little bit under $10. Whats included is your choice of noodles, meet, and a salad with some appetizers ( eggroll, wonton).
I strongly suggest you try the pad thai with roast duck. Its really good. There fried rice is also pretty decent, try the Hawaiin Fried Rice. The pineapple give it an extra kick.

I'm from the San Francisco bay area and the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at are located in the heart of the city. BUT I have to admit, Amarin definitely ranks up there as the best Thai restaurant I've ever eaten at in Southern California. They make the best GA PROW I've tasted in a long time. The food here is quite authentic and very deliciously flavored. Service is good and the atmosphere is delightful. A definite 5 out of 5 stars!!!

My boyfriend and I went to Amarin Thai last night for the first time and was treated very badly. When we arrive we waited outside for someone to seat us but nobody came out. So we thought maybe we go inside and as we walked inside one of the waiters asked how many. He asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside and so we said outside. He pointed to a table so we went to go sit down. Once we sat down a lady walked over giving us menus and told us NEXT TIME WAIT TO BE SEATED! The way she said it was so extremely RUDE AND MEAN!!!! My boyfriend and I were SHOCKED and so we decided not to eat there! We have never been there and for her to walk over and instead of saying Hello she yells at us! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK and we'll make sure NONE of our friends will!!!!!!!

Amarin Thai in Mira Mesa is a very good choice for Thai food in the location. The prices are reasonable and the noodle dishes are really good. However, the original Amarin is a LOT better tasting than this one. My personal favorite is the three flavored fish and the one at this restaurant does not come close to the original. However, I would recommend the spicy Thai noodles.

The food was excellent. The peanut butter sauce was great and the Thai noodles were spicy and perfect. The prices and service are great. This is a nice change from the every day.
