Grab and Go is a local sub shop with locations only found in San Diego. They bake their Italian bread fresh everyday, and you can really taste the difference. If you're lucky, Grab and Go sells their day-old bread (if they have any left) and you can make your own subs at home. If you decide to dine in/take-out, keep in mind that the menu does vary a bit depending on the location in San Diego. A few great items to try include the classic "Grab and Go" and the "Tunisia", which features Yellowfin tuna in the homemade tuna salad mix. I love that everything here is made in house, including the sauces and dressings. The most expensive subs are $6, which is still reasonable for a quick lunch.

Grab N Go makes Subway look like a high school cafeteria. They feature "rolled" bread subs and Boar's Head brand meat. Everything is basically made to order, and the prices are very reasonable. A 6" Grab N Go sub which is bologna, lettuce, provolone cheese, mortadella and oil salt pepper will set you back about $3.99. Their hot pastrami is awesome. Almost all of their sandwiches are under $6, and they offer soups and salads to go as well.
