I went to Lorna's for the first time yesterday. The service is terrible. The busser was much more helpful than the server. The bruschetta was the worst I've ever had. The bread had way too much oil on it. The pizza was very greasy too! When I brought it home, I had to put it on paper towels for awhile before I could put it in the fridge. The server I had, acted like he was too good to serve me. If you want to enjoy your dining out experience, go somewhere else. There are many restaurants with better food and service.

This quaint little Italian place doesn't look impressive, isn't owed by Italians, but is one of the most delicious, reasonably priced Italian food in San Diego.
Dishes range from $10-20 and the quantities are huge. The taste is great and authentic and almost everything on the menu is delicious.
One of the specialties are the meatballs, home-made and the size of a baseball, these are very yummy.
While the place is usually pretty full, the staff always seems to be able to find room to seat guests within a few minutes.
The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The complementary bread is hot and fresh.
Highly recommended for anyone in the mood for Italian and not wanting to pay too much.

This casual Italian bistro is an unexpected gem in a strip mall shared by a Vons and a Rite Aid. I stopped by for lunch while waiting for a smog check at the station next door and discovered the best gnocchi I've ever had in San Diego. Lorna's is highly recommended, delicious, and traditional Italian food.
